Scratch Programming - Hopkins Campus
Scratch is dynamic and intuitive programming software that enables students to animate scenes, create interactive games and more. Students will learn and review basic programming principles and design creative animations and simple, fun games. They will explore how variables, lists and sensing blocks can create more complex, interactive programs. Manga Illustration Camp - Halle Cultural Arts Center
Ages 9-17. Whether you are already drawing manga or want to learn to do it, this is the camp for you. Sharpen your skills using the same materials real mangakas use, g-pens and ink, art markers, tone screens and make comic book pages. Spend the week with like minded otakus; have a great time and make new friends. *$20 materials & supplies fee due to instructor on the first day. No experience necessary. 9B. Summer Camp - Java Game Programming - 5 Days - Gizmos & Gadgets Kids Lab
Students will learn about project design, object-oriented programming, console applications, graphics applications and many elements of the Java language. Along the way students will build on what they learn each day. This includes learning how to program frames, colors and programming moving objects. The week begins with simple programming until it builds by the end where students will be able to create the game of pong in Java.
