At Alton Jones We Pack A Whole Summer Into One Week! With trained staff as role models and more than 2,300 acres of lakes, forests and farmland, the W. Alton Jones Campus offers a big backyard for learning, exploration, adventure and fun. We have a 75-acre lake, a historical farm, 10 miles of hiking trails, wildflower meadows, streams and ponds. At Alton Jones you can get outdoors, learn new skills and make new friends in a wholesome and fun setting. Come to Alton Jones Camp and take away some great memories! Overnight Camp: Alton Jones is built for overnight adventure. Stay the week and explore, try something new, and make lasting friends. Overnight camps are 6 day, 5 night adventures exploring our natural environment and trying multisport outdoor skills. While we certainly enjoy the great outdoors, we also offer comfortable accommodations. These include cozy cabins and screenhouses with bunk beds and hot showers, a private lakefront, and great food in our dining hall! Campers are separated by age into co-ed field groups and single-sex cabin areas. All programs include swimming and traditional camp activities. With Teen Expeditions, each day brings a new physical and mental adventure requiring determination and the ability to try hard while discovering new skills, challenges, and places. Whether staying at Alton Jones, setting up a base camp at a public campground, or hiking, canoeing, or kayaking to a new campsite each night, each group will be completely independent. Camping is in screen-house cabins when at Alton Jones and tents for off campus trips. Everyone helps cook on camp stoves except when meals are provided. Each Sunday begins a new camp session. Farm Day Camp: An Old-Fashioned Farm Experience Find out how much fun it can be to work on a farm! Scenic Woodvale Farm is surrounded by rocky pastures, a country barn, lush gardens, and an historic cemetery. This original 19th century farm is home to all kinds of animals like sheep, ducks, chickens, pigs, rabbits, cows, and goats. There’s so much for you to experience at Woodvale Farm. Help feed the animals, learn about humane animal care, plant seeds, collect eggs, harvest the best fresh vegetables you’ve ever tasted, and learn to make recipes like bread from the very corn that you grind into meal. There will also be hiking, swimming, songs, crafts, folklore, and a whole lot of fun down on the farm. Woodvale Farm Day Camp was featured on the Food Network because of its garden to table cooking. Eco-Zone Day Camp: An Adventure in Ecology Exploration It’s all about nature at Eco-Zone. Get ready to make some exciting discoveries and get your hands dirty in the process! With miles of trails and a Nature Preserve, there are many places to explore. Search our ponds and streams for insects, frogs, and fish. Experience the wonders of our environment by going hiking, canoeing, swimming, and playing fun games. On Thursday evening, there is an optional campout** where you will enjoy a cookout, campfire, night hike, and sleeping outside in tents. Come join the fun!

What I like about this camp is my kids can choose between a day camp (for ages 5-12), an overnight camp (for ages 9-13) or a specialty camp (ages 11-17). Learning and caring for the Earth are emphasized. My son had the opportunity to explore lakes, forests and farmland. He also made lifelong friends with kids who share his similar interests.

I sent my two kids (9 and 13) to Alton Jones for the first time last summer, they absolutely loved it. My 9 year old did Earth Camp, he loved tree-climbing and kayaking the most! My 13 year old did Teen X Adventure and also loved climbing (she did rock climbing!) and the water park.
I was concerned about the cabins, since most camps have a busy basic set up, but these were great, I wish I had cabins like this when I was a kid!
They loved the food too. And campfire, I kept hearing about songs and skits well into September! haha
The staff is very friendly and attentive. My daughter would love to be a Junior Counselor there at Alton Jones.
Again, great place. I really can't say enough about it. We're signing up for this year already!
Thanks for the great experience Alton Jones!
