LATEST CAMPS NEWS: 9th - 12th grades: SAT Prep - Critical Reading and Writing - Saint Marys School
Prepare for SAT success! In this rigorous, half-day camp, youll learn the form and style of the test--which was completely redesigned as of March 2016--as well as the essential content and strategies for approaching each question on the critical reading and writing portions of the SAT. You will learn how to recognize the types of questions asked on the reading passages, become a more critical reader, and identify the evidence on which your answers are based. For the writing section, we will review the most commonly tested grammar rules and skills as well as learn and practice what it takes to write an outstanding essay, which is now optional and follows a completely different format from the previous version of the SAT. Youll leave this camp with the confidence and skills to make your best score yet on critical reading and writing! (An SAT book will be provided.) Jaymee Gaskins received her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a masters in Reading Education from Meredith College. ORIGINS Youth Camp 2016 - Sparks, OK
Parents the Youth have chosen Camp #2 which is May 30th - June 3rd. I know it seems far away but we MUST have an idea on a head count so we can go ahead and get our week reserved. It will more than likely be 100% full within a week so we would choose week #3 which is June 6th-June 10th. THE KIDS are choosing Camp #2 because of the speaker we had last year will be at Camp #2. Please chat with your YOUTH AS SOON AS POSSIBLE and let me know by this Wedneday if at all possible. I would like to send in the registration fee for each kid this week to reserve our spots. Teen Camp Service Project - Beautify Chinatown! - undefined, undefined
It's that time of year again!This is the first in our series of Teen Camp service projects for those of you who may need financial assistance in order to go to camp. You must complete this project if you're going to need a half or full scholarship. Don't know if you need a scholarship? Well, even if you have an inkling that you might need one, you should be there. But this project is also open to all, so if you just want to help out, join us! The project will involve cleaning out and sprucing up the public planters along Wentworth Avenue and Cermak Road in Chinatown. The project will begin at 9 AM and end around 1 PM. Does your little one have what it takes to be a REAL princess? No, really… Does she have what it takes to be true royalty? Well, she’s about to go through Princess 101! Announcing the first ever Putnam Princess Parties Princess Summer Camp!! July 5-9 we will transform the Bancroft FireHouse in beautiful Putnam County into a Princess Academy where our real life Putnam Princesses will be conducting a camp that will teach little ones exactly what it takes to be royalty- manners, makeup, songs, dances, the works! Each day, 2-3 princesses will teach different “courses” from 5:00-7:00pm. Different princesses will teach different “classes.” For example, Cinderella may be teaching a song while Snow White is teaching a proper curtsy. Each day, your child will learn something new and they will practice for the big recital on Saturday. At the end of the week, the little princesses will perform in a special performance alongside the real life princesses in a grand recital. They will perform the special songs and dances they have studied. And all the characters they have met throughout the week will be in attendance for a grand ball type of ceremony. There will then be a special graduation “with royal honors”...

Legend has it, gnomes are stout little people with pointed hats who live outside, often in gardens and usually underground. Some believe they have magical powers, others believe they simply bring good luck. Camp Casa (Ages 12-14) - Casa Mañana
Camp Casa is a place for students ages 8-14 of all skill levels to come and participate in professional training in the performing arts. It is a place for beginners to develop their theatrical craft and have fun, as well as a place for the advanced to hone their artistic skills. In addition to rehearsing and producing a full-length show (see below), campers will take classes in acting, music and dance. This years Camp Casa show will be THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE JR. By Gilbert and Sullivan! Camp will be held Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM- 5:00 PM, June 27-July 15 2016. Performances of THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE JR. will be the weekend of July 15-17. The cost of Camp Casa is $1,000, plus a non-refundable $25.00 registration fee. A deposit of at least 10% of the full cost of the camp is due upon registration. The remaining balance is due no later than the first day of Camp (Monday, June 27th). You may cancel your registration up until 5PM on Monday, June 6th. After that, you agree to pay your remaining balance unless we are able to register someone from the waitlist to fill your spot. Tuition does not include tickets for performances. 817-321-5040

MSA Youth Soccer Academy 3/8 (8-12yrs) - Camarillo Community Center
The focus of the camp is to teach the technical skills of soccer (passing, receiving, finishing, dribbling and heading) through imaginative and small sided games. Each day, the trainers will emphasize a different skill and the campers will try to master the skills through fun and exciting games. The trainers will encourage good sportsmanship, fair play and having fun! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- REFUND POLICY: A cancellation fee of $10 per transaction will be deducted for requested refunds/transfers. A refund (less $10) may be granted if the District is notified five (5) business days prior to the first class meeting.
