Silver Lake Camp

Silver Lake Camp is a traditional co-ed residential summer camp for children from all over the country and world. We offer a 3 week, 4 week, or 7 week session for campers to choose from. Silver Lake Camp is located in the beautiful Catskill Mountain of New York, just two hours northwest of New York City. Offering over 50 different activities to choose from, campers get to experience all the fun of a full summer camp in just shorter session. Welcome to Silver Lake Camp… When their neighboring camp was put up for sale, Michael and Shari Baer, who had owned and directed Camp Chipinaw since 1999, had a brainstorm! They had the idea to open a camp that was similar to Chipinaw, yet cater to the ever-growing demand of the half-summer camper. Michael had the vision to open a camp that provided the opportunity for a youngster to attend camp for an abridged summer, yet not miss out on any of the fun and excitement. He wanted to incorporate all of the traditions, activities, and spirit of Chipinaw… and do it twice each summer! Simply put, he wanted to provide campers with the opportunity to go to camp for three or four weeks of the summer and still get the "full camp" experience. Silver Lake is a picturesque camp, situated on over 300 acres of rolling green hills with a 96-acre private lake. Since opening in 2004, we have been busy improving and upgrading all of our facilities. During that time we have built all new bunks, renovated our basketball, tennis, and volleyball courts, expanded our indoor gym, and built a state of the art Gymnastics Center.
