Annual Youth Retreat (CAMP) 40th Anniversary Celebrations - Holmes, NY
JESUS AT THE CENTER will be the theme for our gathering where we will celebrate 40 years of a vision that was provided by God to many of our sisters and brothers. We will meet up at camp to celebrate the past, plan for the future as old friends get reacquainted, leaders return to the place where they received or affirmed their call of service, and we give honor and glory to the One who has given us life abundantly. ~5th ANNUAL SUMMER CAMP CAR SHOW and SILENT AUCTION~ - Terre Haute, IN
Them One Guys Car Club is hosting our 5th annual fundraiser car show on Saturday, June 11th 2016 in K-Mart parking lot at 4651 S. US HWY 41 in Terre Haute, IN 47802. All proceeds will be donated to Boy Scout Troop 504 to help them pay for camp and other trips and supplies. Troop 504 will have a free will donation concession stand and are hand making the awards to be given to the winner of each class. The winners of each class will be determined by the spectators' popular vote and there will also be a scouts choice award which will be determined by the popular vote of Boy Scouts of any troop who come to the car show with their BSA membership card or Class A shirt on. There will be a $10 fee for early bird registration or day of show fee of $15 to enter cars, trucks or motorcycles. The first 25 will recieve a dash plaque! Registration will begin at 9:00 am and continue through 11:00 am, Show and voting will begin at 11:00 am and continue until 2:00 pm. Awards presentation will follow promptly after 2:00 pm. 09th 2016 Camp Buckaroo FALL BREAK 3 Day Camp - Blue Point Stables
This Camp is a 3 (Three) Day Buckaroo Fall Break Day Camp. Camp begins each day at 9:00 EST and ends at 4:00 pm in the afternoon. Campers will be assigned a horse to ride and to care for. In the larger enrollment classes, campers share assigned horses. Activities that the campers will be involved with are... Riding Lessons (generally twice a day, weather permitting) Grooming, Stall Care & Management, Equine Characteristics, Arts and Crafts and Horse Husbandry including some Horse Health and Welfare. Plus, making friends or renewing relationships with new and returning campers alike. Campers have the option to purchase and challenge the test for a CHA riding level. Campers receive the appropriate CHA Riding Level Book. Successful campers are awarded the appropriate Certificate, Patch and Pin. Campers falling below the testing standards are allowed to retest once for no additional charge. Day campers will need to bring appropriate clothing for each day, to include layered warm clothing on cool or cold days and rain gear when needed, as well as, their lunches, snacks and drinks for each day. Dog Trick Week 7 - Animal Training Adventure Center
Dog Trick Training is a great way to have fun with your dog, and it allows campers to open up a genuine form of two-way communication between them and their dog. Trick training also helps build confidence in dogs and their handlers; and the more tricks you teach, the faster your dog will learn each new skill. Each session will focus on learning a series of three dog tricks, with bonus learning opportunities for exceptionally skilled dogs. This session will utilize training skills and techniques developed by Kyra Sundance, a world-acclaimed Stunt Dog Show performer, celebrity dog trainer, and internationally bestselling author. Campers will have the opportunity to learn and practice advanced dog training skills in order to train their dog to perform tricks. Campers can choose to train their own dog, or they can work with a rescue puppy or dog available at camp. Dogs must be able to focus on their owner and work around other dogs. An after school program especially designed to give teens experience on the potters wheel. Students will have sole access to a wheel for each class (there will also be generous out of class studio time available) and will learn the process with instruction from a well experienced art teacher and potter. Boys Basketball - Sanford Day Camp
Stan Waterman will be the head coach for our Basketball program. Stan is the head basketball coach at Sanford since 1991. Under Stans direction, Sanford won multiple State Championships. Stan played point guard at the University of Delaware and is the Dean of Students at Sanford. He is considered to be an outstanding teacher of youth. Stan utilizes both courts of the Sports Center to set up stations for dribbling, passing, jump shooting and foul shooting. The afternoons are used for small team play. 1 on 1, 2 on 2, 3 on 3, etc. By the end of the week, all players are participating in full team scrimmages. Players can expect a good workout every day. -------------- LOCATION: Sanford School. Please drop your child off at the Sports Center at 8:45 a.m. Pick up will be in the same location at 3:15. --------------- WHAT TO BRING: Light-weight, loose fitting shirts, shorts, socks and sneakers.
