Lexington Family Magazine Summer Camps & Activities Fair - Lexington,
Visit booths representing camps, afterschool activities, birthday party venues, health care professionals, schools and more at our 14th Annual Fair. The Fair will be held at Lexington Christian Academy at 450 W. Reynolds Rd. just across the street from Meijer and behind Fayette Mall. We fill both of the gyms at the school. Each booth will have a fun activity for kids while Mom and Dad chat with the professionals. You'll find giant inflatables, face painting, costumed characters, games and giveaways. While you are there you can enter your kids in our Cover Model Contest. Professional photographer Lucy Chesnut, of Glitter and Sawdust Studios, will take photos of all their smiling faces and we'll use those pictures to choose winners who will appear on the covers of Lexington Family Magazine in the next year. We'll also have performances all day long from some of the most talented kids in the bluegrass including dancers, martial artists, gymnasts and more. Best of all? IT'S FREE! In this special Amazing Race Edition, teens will embark on a two-day race around Camp Sealth facing challenges in their small team units. Polpis PM Van - Week 4 - Polpis Harbor
In an effort to alleviate the traffic going to Polpis in the mornings, NCS is offering a bus to Polpis Harbor from the Nantucket Elementary School. Space is limited, so we suggest registering for this service early. This year the bus is being offered as a round trip service. The afternoon sessions bus will leave the Nantucket Elementary School promptly at 12:35am in order to get the children to their morning programs on time. The bus will return to the Elementary School with the sailors by 3:45pm and Parents/Guardians are responsible for promptly picking up their children. Make real stuff - Think it and build it! TinkerCAD is an easy-to-learn cloud-based technology that lets you create 3D models to later 3D print or export to Minecraft. Students have fun while learning spatial thinking. The instructor Nicola Hoelz is a professional graphic artist and has studied 3D modeling and animation. The school will provide the laptops and internet access. At signup, please provide one parents email address for an account at Autodesk 123D. During the first one or two club meetings we will follow the online lessons, learning to navigate and create models.
