Summer Art Camp for Kids - Winslow, AR
Summer Art Camp for Kids babaMonday-Friday, July 11-15, 9-12am Special outdoor dinner and performance on Friday, July 15, beginning at 6pm. Explore new areas in the arts at Summer Art Camp, July 11-15 at Ozark Folkways! Create giant masks and bring the characters of the Russian folk tale Baba Yaga to life as you experiment with music-making, movement, and mime! There will be witches, magical animals, fabulous costumes, lights, music and action: fun for all levels. Everyone will take part in a final performance at dusk on Friday, July 15 on our outdoor stage, the Crow’s Nest. The community will be invited to join in a weiner roast before the show, and then to marvel at the amazing performance the kids will have put together in a single week! Cost is $25 per child and includes all supplies and a healthy mid morning snack each day. Space is limited! Pre-registration is required and spots are available on a first come first serve basis. All activities this week will revolve around sports. We will allow the children to select several sport related activities to participate in each day. These events can be anything from soccer,baseball/softball, tennis, ultimate Frisbee, cheerleading and other miscellaneous sports. We hope to provide campers with the opportunity to play various sports or sports related activities throughout the week. Ocean Explorers (Week 7 AM) - Buccaneer Biology - NESS
Interrogate the science behind the life of a pirate. Consider sediment densities to determine optimal treasure burial, coastal changes to maximize hiding areas, experiment with eye dominance to determine eye patch orientation, design a boat to withstand the high seas, and test biological make-up of items for high Vitamin C levels to prevent scurvy. Minecraft Adventures - Universalist Unitarian Church - Arlington
Welcome to the world of Mining and Crafting. At this exciting camp your child will craft and create on a lap top computer. Throughout the week, your child will be given exciting building challenges in BOTH the creative and survival mode of MINECRAFT ® BEWARE OF CREEPERS!! Renaissance has hired some mining experts to help your child learn secrets and short cuts that can be taken home for use on their own MINECRAFT® games. A secure server will be provided for their use during this camp. We will focus on several advanced crafting skills such as red-stone wiring, advanced survival tactics and advanced gardening. Campers will participate in a horserace and become paleoentoligists digging for bones to construct a dinosaur. There are new challenges everyday and the excitement builds with each new challenge.
