Teen Adventure Camp - Sequoia Highlands
Teen Adventure Camp starts at 9 a.m. on June 27 at Sequoia Highlands, which is a large camp built around 1970. There is a large kitchen and dining room and a big recreation room with pool tables, pingpong and darts as well as other activities. The accommodations are in long dorms with army cot bunks, one dorm for girls, one for boys. The view of the valley is spectacular, and the charm of this camp is that it is rustic, has lots of room and is close to Kings Canyon National Park. We take trips on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to lakes, rivers, caves and mountains up in the parks, hiking & swimming & exploring the area. We will also learn about the ecology of the area and how climate change is affecting the Parks and the central valley. While at camp we will tie-dye our camp shirts, create our own videos, fish if the pond is full, and simply hang out and enjoy each others company. Campfires are planned for the evenings after dinner. DaVinci Art and Science - Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History
Its a week of ingenious inventions as we dive into the marvelous world of Leonardo Da Vinci. Campers will make frescoes; design, build and test parachutes; attempt to walk on water and recreate many more of DaVincis clever contraptions. Girl Power Pre-Engineering with Lego Mini Camp - Community Recreation Center (CRC)
A NEW camp for girls who just want to have fun...building with LEGO! Taught by women engineers and scientists, this course will provide a supportive environment for girls to build engineer-designed projects such as boats, bridges, mazes, and motorized cars. Explore the creative possibilities of the LEGO building system with the guidance of experienced Play-Well instructors. Reverse (Grades 8-12 by Fall 2015) - Blue Grass Christian Camp
Back for its fifth year with some great new additions! Evenings will be filled with classic activities we all know and love--swimming, sports, challenge courses, campfires, Spirit-filled worship, along with some new extreme activities--while each day will be spent in service to the communities that surround us. Weve teamed up with local programs in and around our city of Lexington to embrace the young, love the marginalized, and serve the disadvantaged. Each day is filled with opportunities to be the hands and feet of Christ (and weve also thrown in a few suprises!).
