Girls and boys will enjoy the projects which incorporate STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) and Tinkering (learning by doing). Graduates of Kindergarten - 5th grade are welcome! Camp will be divided into groups of 8 children with one teacher. Topics of the camp: ● Robotics ● Programming ● Tinkering ● STEAM ● Team Work ● Leadership ● Entrepreneurship Learning objectives: ● Basic concepts of programming : events, commands, sequences of commands ● Basic Concepts of mechanics: simple machines, gears, pulleys, levers ● Intermediate concepts of programming; Program flow model, simple sensors (wait for) behaviors, decision making structures ● Real world solutions and engineering practices like: building solutions to real world problems, problem solving strategies, team work, and leadership Join us for week 2 for Robotics II. This program is for children in grades 1-4th and all skill levels. The philosophy behind the program is to teach basic skills and fundamentals, develop athletic skills, make new friends, and most importantly have fun! The program stresses good sportsmanship at all times. All equipment will be provided. This is a good program to put your child in if theyre baseball, football, basketball, and/or hockey players. Many of the physical skills worked on during the camp will crossover to those sports. All equipment is provided.
