Circus Summer Camp; ages 7+ - Tulsa, OK
All NEW. Circus Camp for ages 7+, June 9-12. Kids ages 7-11 are in the morning session (9am-noon); kids ages 12+ are in the afternoon session (1pm-4pm).The camp will include several forms of dance and circus arts including: juggling, tightwire, aerial silks, lyra, static trapeze and acro yoga. Teen Sewing Boot Camp - Edmonds, WA
Is your teen bored already? Sign him/her up for our week long beginning sewing boot camp running Monday through Friday, July 19 through 22 from 10 am to 2 pm daily. They will learn basic hand sewing techniques by hand making their own pin cushion and then graduate to sewing a pillowcase, pajama pants a skirt and other cool stuff., including getting to participate in a community project. You will need to bring your own sewing machine if you have one, and basic sewing supplies. A list of fabrics and notions will be sent to you once you have registered. Cost is $100. Summer is the best time of year for fishing, but you need the knowledge of fish habits to help narrow down the best fishing areas by boat and from shore. Open to both experienced and new anglers. Learn the basics of a variety of styles of fishing including rod and reel trolling, bottom fishing, fly fishing, clamming and lobster fishing. Students will also learn about tying knots, baiting hooks, cleaning gear, and practicing fishing safety. Become more aware of local fisheries and fishing impacts. We practice catch and release only. Each day we will build new simple machines and conduct experiments to see how well they perform. STEM CURRICULUM. Students will understand why a machine works and will learn how to manipulate a machine to go faster or slower.
