My daughter and son thrived at this camp. They are both active children who would rather be outdoors than inside. They are also very social, which is why they loved the fact this camp draws campers from all over the world. Guitarron: Mariachi - University of Texas at Austin
The Mariachi program is designed to provide high school students with expert instruction from active professionals. It is open to entering 10, 11, 12 graders. This season provides excellent opportunity for young musicians to improve their individual performance skills. Instruction includes instrument-specific instruction, ensemble rehearsals, master classes and performance at the end of camp. 512-232-2080
Shooting, Scoring, & Conditioning Camp - Manchester Ice Arena
Shooting, Scoring, & Conditioning Camp The full spectrum of the RMHS developed stickhandling progression from basic dribbling to advanced puck control concepts such as puck protection and creating space will be the foundation for this camp. Also covered in depth during the stickhandling portion will be passing lanes, vision, play away from the puck, support, and the proper execution of advanced fakes and dekes. All conditioning drills will be based on the European Training Method of incorporating pucks into all skating drills to ensure proper puck control skill and habit development. Fundamental knowledge of how to properly train ones body for athletic competition will be discussed, stressing proper work to rest ratios, hydration, and optimal physical conditioning. Advanced powerskating drills will also be included, focusing on speed and power development while conditioning. ATTENTION GOALTENDERS - Every RMHS camp will offer professional goaltending instruction from one of our professional goaltending coaches. This clinic will teach your child the skills to play Volleyball. They will learn the rules and regulations of the sport to help them become a better player. Students will simulate game-like settings. Interest in this enrichment could potentially form a team for HoLa for motivated players. Students will be escorted to the Multi-service center. Parents need to pick up at the Multi. @4PM SHARP.
