This camp focuses on Christian faith and horses; two of my Daughter's favorite things
I was excited to find this camp for my 12 year old daughter. She is naturally a quiet child, but she loves horses. This camp helped her stretch outside her comfort zone as she socialized with other children who also shared her love of horses. She couldn’t stop telling us how she explored the prairie on horseback. There is also an emphasis on strengthening camper's faith. She made lifelong friends at this camp.... Read More...

Wonders Science camps are hands-on fun from beginning to end! Participants will experiment with 50 hands-on projects throughout the week, including: riding hover-crafts, creating invisible inks, growing crystal gardens, steering 60-foot solar blimps, making rock board collections, floating hot air balloons, launching giant smoke rings, setting-off the ultimate Mentos geyser, building lava lamps, making glow-in-the-dark signs, casting fossils, and much more! Visual Arts Camp - Session 3 - Takoma Park Community Center
Have fun and express yourself through color, shape, drawing and design! Each session includes a new art related theme and group of art processes and activities. Sharpen your drawing skills, explore new materials and exercise your imagination with inspiring art projects. Two hours of drawing in the morning using graphite, pen and ink, colored pencils, charcoal pencils, pastels, oil pastels or conte crayon, etc. followed by two + hours of painting and/or collage and assemblage in the afternoon. Media such as watercolor painting, sumi-e, mixed media painting, texture and found - object assemblage will be explored. Art related movies, access to the game room during the day and outdoor art adventures are all included in what will certainly be a memorable summer experience. All materials included. Instructor: Katie Dell Kaufman Paperwork will need to be completed prior to the first day of camp. Lacrosse (boys) - Seattle Preparatory School
Lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in Washington. The Seattle Prep lacrosse camp promises to be the premier camp in Seattle for 6th, 7th and 8th grade boys of all skill and experience levels. The fast-paced camp will feature skill work, station work and scrimmages with a player to coach ratio of one to five, ensuring campers of all levels receive the attention to maximize their experience. Skills Emphasized: Core mechanics of shooting, passing and ground balls - shooting on the run and with time/space - attacking the goal and dodging - individual and team defense - face-off specialization - goalie coaching - game play. Note: All players supply their own lacrosse equipment (helmet, stick, gloves and pads, etc.). Head lacrosse coach, Rich Stearns, grew up playing lacrosse in Scarsdale, NY and went on to play at Northwestern University for four years. Last year, Coach Stearns took over as the varsity boys lacrosse head coach at Prep.
