Camp Shalom Noar-Bogrim: 9th Grade - Camp Shalom
Camp Shalom, established in 1954, is the oldest and largest day camp in Dane County and is sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Madison. Camp Shalom is for campers going into grades K-5 and Camp Shalom Noar-Bogrim, a hybrid of Camp Shalom Noar and Camp Shalom Bogrim, is for campers going into grades 6-9. Camp Shalom and Camp Shalom Noar-Bogrim serve over 1000 children throughout the summer and is located at the beautiful Irwin A. and Robert D. Goodman Jewish Community Campus in Verona. Feathers, Fur, and Scales - Vasona Lake County Park
Investigate different kinds of animals from head to toe and from the inside out. Learn how snakes slither and eat without chewing. Study one of natures greatest predators and understand the unique features that allow owls to see small objects in the dark and look behind themselves. Examine bones, fur, feathers, claws, teeth, scales, and skeletons to learn more about these and many other animal adaptations. Football Camp K­ - 5th - SCDS
This football camp starts our young players with a love for the game and correct instruction to play the game. Young boys love to run and jump and play. Many of them also love to roll around and tussle. If you have such a boy, we would like to help him channel these natural inclinations into a love of the game of football, and to guide him in learning the fundamentals of how to run, throw, catch, kick, block, and tackle. Staffed by SCDS coaches and players the camp will guide youngsters toward an understanding of the basics. Campers will gain an understanding of football rules, terminology, and basic strategy. Each day will include individual instruction as well as competitive flag football games. Athletes of all experience levels are welcome and no equipment is required other than cleats/sneakers, athletic clothes and a willingness to play hard and have fun.
