LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Wild Outdoors Adventure Nature Camp - EcoAdventures
Wild Outdoors Adventure Nature Camp July 5th – 7th 9am – 4pm $245 Ages 8+ *limited participants to go in our Snake ECO Van Campers will experience the wild outdoors with this specialty camp. They will spend the day at one of our local parks (Kinder Farm, Quiet Waters/Downs Park, Sandy Point). We will be hitting the trails and learning compass, navigation, survival, & animal tracking skills. Knot tying is also in order for this camp. Campers will get a chance to go fishing and make their very own fishing poles. Try your luck at crabbing and maybe even kayaking? Set up turtle traps and help with turtle research at Kinder Farm Park, then make a splash with catching critters through seining and seeing what is out in our own Chesapeake Bay. Hey Friends! It's the StrongTree Spring Artist Retreat 2016 with one of our favorite artists Matthew Clark!! WINTER EcoKids Nature Preschool - Marlton, NJ
Our Winter EcoKids Nature Preschool begins next week! These child/caregiver classes are a great way to get close to nature with your child at Camp Creek Run. Choose from Tuesdays at 10am OR Thursdays at 1pm. EcoKids starts on January 10 and runs through March 9. Registration is required, no drop-ins please. August Summer Camp Crop - Saturday - Garrettsville, OH
Summer Camps are no-frills, get-a-lot-done, fun-filled social events. We are trying something new this year! We will join Debi Morris at her campground, Traveler’s Woods. There will be no fee to crop and we will plan our potluck meals in advance. Camping is available – Campers with water/sewer/electric are $20.00/night; tents with electric plug are $10.00/night. Showers, a bathhouse, and a pool are available for campers. Optional Friday night add-on to camp. (Provide your own camper or tent, payment upon arrival.) Digital scrappers and card makers welcome at all events too! Join us for Saturday only or Sunday too.

2016 Summer Camp Kickoff - East Hartford, CT
Camp Staff from each of our council camping programs will be at CABELAS in East Hartford to get you GEARED UP for Summer Camp 2016! Parents, Cub Leaders, Scoutmasters, Campers: Stop in at any time from 11-3 to find out what is new and to chat with key members of the camp staff! This will also be the event that Fundraising Camp Cards will be distributed to participating Units.The event may include: A Laser Shooting Gallery, Nerf Archery, FREE giveaways as well as other activities!

Paint and Paddle Summer Camp - Melbourne, FL
Paint and Paddle Summer Camp is a creative and physically stimulating unique experience in our natural environment. Campers work with instructors on stand up paddleboard techniques, explore Elbow Creek, and engage in art projects! * July 11-15, 2016 * Ages 8-13 * M-F 9 AM - 3 PM * $180 per camper Cost covers the paddle board equipment, art supplies, and camp shirt. *The staff includes Certified Stand Up Paddleboard instructors, Certified K12 Art Educators, and Volunteers. Positional Camp - Yum Center
All participants will receive individual instruction from U of L coaching staff on a specific position. • 2 night sessions from 4:30-7:30p will be set aside for specialty sessions • Advanced, detailed instruction in the fundamentals and tactics of each skill will be taught in a 3-hour session. • Specific position topics will include setting, outside and right side hitting, middle hitting and serve receive/defense. Musical Robots - MacRostie Art Center
Art, science, technology and math! Troy Rogers is a composer, instrument builder, and educator whose work often finds itself at various intersections of art and technology. For more than ten years, he has been creating robotic musical instruments and producing music for these novel devices. He will provide an ensemble of percussion robots for the workshop and guide students through the process. Kits available for purchase but not required for workshop participation. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in a performance that evening at 7 pm, open to the public, at MacRostie Art Center! Ages 13 – 17. 218-326-2697

Week 3 PM - Junior Lifeguards - Wuskenau Beach
Learn the basics of what it takes to be a lifeguard. This program promotes teamwork, leadership, and aquatic safety while introducing students to professional opportunities. Get quality water safety education on ocean and beach hazards, including rip currents, waves and tides. Gain an understanding on beach ecology and marine life and learn respect for the environment and for themselves, their parents and their peers. Includes: surf and ocean rescue, skills in first aid and CPR, boogie boarding, body surfing, beach/water flags and race relays. This is not a certifying class. 860-535-9362

Technovators: Remote Control Projects and Game Design - Kentlake High School
Get a double helping of technology. First, build remote-control, motor-driven animals and vehicles using LEGO® components. Then, create their own computer game using Stencyl® software, one of the newest and best ways to create games for a computer or mobile device. In the morning, create "Nessie," the Loch-Ness creature, beautifully detailed versions of the the Millennium Falcon and X-Wing Fighter from Star Wars®, a funny-walking spider, and a twin-motor vehicle that you can quickly transform into a turtle! Students learn about motors, gears, hinges, wheels and axles, and more! With their remotes, students race and send their creations on missions. In the afternoon, make a platform style game where characters explore levels, gain prizes and avoid enemies. Students learn level design and how to add events and actions, scoring and displays, physics, and sounds in the gameplay. See your game come to life, while learning skills that can help start your development as a game designer!
