First off, forgetting to pack a toothbrush or comb is very common. Summer camps are always fully equipped to handle such issues. These programs and their talented staff will not allow children to go hungry or without important items like toiletries. There are usually extra items on site for youth to wear.
Many programs have everything from extra sleeping bags, blankets, and sheets to extra shampoo. Parents may be called if the child needs something specific or important like medications. Join the women of Orangewood for a retreat away from the busyness of life to connect with and learn from each other! The retreat will include time for fellowship and relaxation, as well as several teaching sessions on how suffering fits into our lives and our walks with God. Bring your kids, grandchildren, nieces, nephews. WFBCHU 2nd annual youth camp. Friday, September 18: Check in 5 pm. Ride at 6 pm. Hobo dinner assembly upon return from ride. Leave No Trace demonstration during dinner. Guitar music and sing along. Hobo dinners and smores provided by Chapter. Saturday, September 19: Creakfast cooked and provided by Chapter. Service project if applicable. AM ride. Lunch on your own. 2 pm Ponies on Parade. Decorate your horse with animal friendly paint, glitter, ribbons, feathers, etc. We will lead decorated ponies through campground. PM ride if desired. First aid demo. Dinner hot dogs, chips, pork n beans provided by Chapter. Scavenger hunt 7 pm. Campfire smores and music. Sunday, September 20: Breakfast provided by Chapter. Ride. Good byes. Climbing Camp - Beginner - Breckenridge Recreation Center
Calling all climbing kids! Come out for an amazing week of climbing and having fun. Learn basic techniques in knots, belaying, and climbing movement. The final day of each camp is outdoors, climbing on real rock here in Summit County, returning to the Recreation Center by 1:00pm. No camp on Wednesdays. Four-day camps are offered in three sessions running June 6-August 5. If youve already attended a Beginner Climbing Camp, check out our Intermediate Climbing Camp to pick up where you left off last summer to keep the climbing going! Upon successful completion, climbers may move to our Intermediate Climbing Camp. Suggested personal equipment for outdoor climbing day: Comfortable shoes for approach, water bottle, snack, wind/rain jacket, extra layers, sunscreen/lip balm, hat and camera.
