Naturalists are campers who have attended Ocean or Bay Explorer camp before. They enjoy 2 days at our site, 2 field trips, and 1 day aboard our ship learning about local ecosystems with live animals, hands-on activities, and themed games and crafts. You can expect camping, ultimate, sideline shenanigans, ferry rides, crafts, Nana Hoover, and new friend making. This class is designed to develop and strengthen good handwriting. Taught by an experienced art teacher, practice will be inter-pursued with art projects. Introduction to calligraphy will be present towards the end of the course. 5105311300 x2500
Girl Scout Sunday: Toy Hack - The Mini Maker
Patch Included During our Toy Hack sessions your kids are given a selection of old toys, such as, a GI Joe, Barbie Doll, Legos, Dinosaur figures, ect. Your kids use basic tools like a screw driver to "hack" the toys apart. Then with the use of tape, pipe cleaners, or glue gun the kids are able to reuse and recycle the pieces and create a new toy with them. For example: A Barbie Doll body with a T-Rex Head and Zombie Foot. During this session the kids are also asked to use their imaginations to create a story around the figure they have created.
