Musical Theatre Little Ones - Farmhouse
This group class introduces your young actor to the craft of musical theater performance. Students will use acting exercises and imaginative games while learning songs to create a unique musical theater performance for the last day of class. Purple Pride Flag Football Camp (6-8 Grade) - Piedmont High School
In a fun, supportive, and inclusive environment, campers will learn all components of football including dynamic stretches, offense, defense, and special teams. Campers will learn the fundamentals of throwing, catching, running, kicking, and punting, as well as speedwork and coordination (attributes that transfer to all sports). All campers will participate in lead-up games, positional and individual work, and team games, concluding with 7 on 7 games. The camp is designed to improve a child?s skill, regardless of skill level. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This program is designed for participants in 6th-8th grade. Please bring a snack and water bottle and wear athletic clothing and shoes. Medical waiver form will be sent by email before camp begins. Education WeDo™ Robotics For campers who love to build and then take their models to the next level. New from Lego Education and Renaissance. Our future engineers work on Lego robotics kits. Each builder has his or her own kit! Interactive building and programming models is the newest educational frontier for kids that love building. Kids build a series of models such as an alligator, lion, helicopter, soccer player and more. Builders work together to build and program their model to move and make sounds. LEGO We-Do Robot Construction The LEGO® Education WeDo introduces young students to robotics when combined with the LEGO Education WeDo Software v.1.2 and various Activity Packs. Students will be able to build LEGO models featuring working motors and sensors; program their models; and explore a series of cross-curricular, theme-based activities while developing their skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics as well as language, literacy, and social studies. The students will build any of the over 50 models and contains more than 300 elements including a motor, tilt sensor, motion sensor, and LEGO USB Hub. High School Juniors Preparing for the May 7, 2016 SAT Test The KAPLAN course helps students gain confidence in taking the NEW SAT test while mastering test strategies. The course includes nine (9) classes taught by a qualified SAT teacher, three (3) practice tests, 2015 Kaplan Prep Book, access to Kaplan online prep and a small snack.
