Is There a Dress Code?
Different camps have different types of dress codes, which is why parents should read all registration materials and welcome packets in advance. For example, a Christian camp may not want youth to wear two-piece bathing suits or spaghetti strap tank tops whereas a different camp may not care. Most summer programs will ask that youth wear age-appropriate clothing. This means avoiding any t-shirts or clothing items that have offensive or suggestive language or any overtly sexual and violent imagery.
Both the summer program’s mission or specialty and daily schedule and activities will dictate the details of the camp’s dress code....

Kid's Beginner Sewing & Art Camp with Sandy Gillespie! - Melbourne, FL
KID'S BEGINNER SEWING ART CAMP June 15 - 17 @10am - 2pm Ages: 12-16 This is not just an ordinary "learn to sew" camp. Our students will design and create their own fabric using surface design techniques. They will learn how to use a sewing machine and also, basic sewing skills. With their new found skills they will sew a super cool backpack and pillowcase. Lots of paint, screens and unique personal designs will abound. The students will have fun experimenting with stamps, screens and printmaking to create their fabric art! We encourage our students to be Fearless and unique!!! All supplies included. Taught by Sandy Gillespie: Fiber Artist, Baker and Crafter We have sewing machines, but it's best for your child to learn on their own machine if you have one...otherwise, no worries! All Sports Camp - All Day - Veterans Memorial - Recreation Center
A great way to introduce your youngsters to the world of sports, teamwork, and athletics! This camp will help to build your childs motor control, hand-eye coordination, agility, and many other sports related skills. Your child will have a blast playing games with the other children including: Baseball, basketball, soccer, flag football, capture the flag, relay & obstacle races, and a whole lot more.This camp will feature different games so that by the end of the week your child will be familiar with a variety of athletic activities! Over the course of 1 week, campers will each build, manipulate and perform with their own puppets. Puppet Palooza is a unique blend of art, acting, mime, and ensemble: a one-of-a-kind experience for every level of experience. Sea Perch Robotics - Middle School
This exciting new offering will coordinate with the Webb Institute. Located in Glen Cove, the Webb Institute is a private engineering college, offering a dual major in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. Participants in the Sea Perch Program will build an underwater robot. The completed the robots will then be brought to Webb Institute for a day of in-water testing and head-to-head competitions that determine how well the robots were constructed and how well the human operators can control their custom-built submersible seacraft. Treasures Across America Week 3 - The Chapel School
Our theme this year is Treasures Across America." Our students will learn about the our great nation by traveling cross country. We will make stops in all 50 states learning about uniqueness and history of each state. In addition to age appropriate literature and arts and craft projects, campers will have an in-house field trip once a week. We will be visited by The Nature of Things, Greenburgh Nature Center, Mad Science, The Maritime Aquarium, Dinosaurs Rock and more! Children also have the opportunity to enjoy plenty of outdoor fun, with water play and games on our secure school playground.
