Give your child a head start by providing them the opportunity to learn a new language. Class sizes are very small (Maximum of 8) which allows us to adapt instruction to each childs personal learning needs. Every two to three weeks we have a new theme for instruction. Cultural holidays for specific target languages and major US holidays are included in the main teaching theme. Children learn basic conversation topics that are age appropriate. What sets Little Linguists apart is our individual approach and our culture-infused curriculum. What a wonderful time she had at Shane Weight Loss Camp. For the first time she was excited about doing physical activities. She's back home now and teaching us all how to eat healthy and stay fit. The Art of Cubism: Clay Reliefs - Location: Center for The Creative Arts
This class will explore cubist artist such as Picasso and Braque. Students will create their very own cubist work of art in clay while learning basic techniques of using slabs to create 3/D form. Students will learn basic and intermediate techniques of slab application, handbuilding, texture application, and glass fusion into clay. Join Blake girls varsity lacrosse coach Linda Hokr and her staff for the fastest game on two feet. This camp will help develop fundamental skills to grow and master the sport — all while having a whole lot of fun. Each day focuses on a specific skill set, beginning with a series of drills and concluding with a game-like setting during which campers put those skills to use. Former and current high school varsity lacrosse players are present to ensure that each camper receives individual attention throughout the week. All levels are welcome; beginners are encouraged. Players are grouped based on age and experience. Girls must provide their own lacrosse stick*, goggles*, cleats, mouth guard and water bottle. *Sticks and goggles will be available on loan to the first 20 registrants. 952-988-3463
