Games played on Sunday afternoon. This is a six (6) week session. Time depends on number of teams - 1st group at 2:00, 2nd group if needed, at 3:15. Boys will receive a t-shirt and ball cap, girls will receive a t-shirt and visor. Players may wear shorts or baseball pants per coach decision, and regular tennis shoes will be fine. Players should provide their own bat and glove - YDL provides helmet to use, but you may provide your own if you so choose. A specialized science camp is a great option for a 13 year old boy. While there are some specialty camps that offer a day camp program, a 13 year old is going to have a better experience at a residential camp. Science camps offer such great activities as robotics workshops, science fairs, chess tournaments and instruction in physics and astronomy. The visual art program will give your child the opportunity to explore artistic expression through visual media. We encourage and welcome all ages and ability levels, providing an environment supporting each individual artist. Friday afternoons will feature an exhibition of each artists favorite masterpieces in a gallery open to fellow camp-goers, friends, and family. Session 5 - Austin Yacht Club
The Austin Yacht Clubs Junior Sailing Camp, located on beautiful Lake Travis, is a unique summer sailing experience for kids ages 8-16. Throughout your campers week at AYC, they will learn and practice fundamental skills aboard our fleet of Optimists, Picos, Lasers, Sunfish, and Flying Juniors. With a camper to counselor ratio of 4 to 1, you can rest assured that your child will enjoy the exciting sport of sailing in a safe environment. Our camp runs Monday-Friday from 9:00-5:00 with an optional early drop-off and late pick-up hour available free of charge.
