Campers entering grade 6 are grouped in units with girls of their own age/grade and are supervised by trained staff members and program aides. Campers participate in a wide variety of activities including earning badges, hiking, outdoor cooking, learning outdoor skills, crafts, games, singing and more. Girls entering grade 6 in Fall 2016 will be going horseback riding one day during the first week of camp (additional waiver form required for this activity). Girls are will spend the night at camp on Wednesday, July 27th with their unit. If you wish for your camper to Opt-Out of horseback riding or the overnight, please check the appropriate box in the registration form. 650-308-8438

Can We Interview the Staff?
Many summer camp staff are seasonal. However, there are usually a number of year-round staff who can answer parents’ questions. This is a chance to talk about how homesickness will be handled, emergency procedures, the daily schedule, dietary restrictions, and more. Interviews can happen via phone, email, or even Skype. Patience is important. Staff members’ time is usually limited during the winter and spring season.

Clay Camp - Teen Wheel Throwing - Pomona, CA
This camp will be an introduction to the potter's wheel! During this camp teens will have the opportunity to work in a professional ceramic studio using the same equipment that the pros use. The camp will begin with centering the clay and creating basic forms, such as bowls, cups and vases. We will spend time learning how to trim and finish the pots. Pottery Camp w/Fashion Illustration, Ages 8-12 - The Yard School of Art At Montclair Art Museum
SummerART Camp Full Day Pottery Program 9:30am to 5pm Pottery Camp with Fashion Illustration Session III: July 25 to August 5 Pottery Camp This camp is for children who are interested specifically in working with clay to create pottery, sculpture, and more. Campers are grouped in age-specific classes (6 to 8, and 9 to 12). Campers will have the opportunity to use the Museums diverse collection of Native American pottery as inspiration. Much of the work created in Pottery Camp will be kiln fired, some will be functional, some will be decorative, and all of it will be treasured for years to come. Participants will analyze evidence such as hair, fibers, fingerprints, blood, and blood splatter. Death and decay, shoe impressions, handwriting, and ink analysis will also be studied. This cheerleading camp is the best place to break into the sport of cheerleading. During this week with themed spirit days, participants are provided instruction on stunting, tumbling, motions, dance, jumps, flexibility and strength while learning fun games. Team Prep USA will host their 9th annual Rocky Mountain Cross Country Camp in Crested Butte/Gunnison, Colorado. Camp will be held at the Western State College in Gunnison Colorado, home of the Division II perennial powerhouse Mountaineers distance programs and just 30 minutes south of Team Prep USAs headquarters and training center. Attendees of camp will have the opportunity to train at elevations ranging from 7,700 ft. to 10,500 ft. of the Colorado Rocky Elk Mountain Range. The Gunnison Valley of Colorado has become a Mecca, according to Nike for athletes of all kinds to train.
