FCYD Camp is proof positive that being diagnosed with diabetes means you have to live a sheltered life. We tried to tell that to our daughter all the time but she never really embraced the idea until she found herself surrounded by kids in her same situation. She felt very welcomed from day one and made all kinds of friends. I think she was just soooo happy to have someone her own age to talk to about what she goes through with diabetes. I get teary eyed every time I think of the great time she had this summer
