The Summer Camp Event 2016 - New York, NY
Come celebrate The Summer Camp with us! Open bar, free food, camp things and The Wooly DJ! TSC sends over 350 underprivileged girls (ages 6-18) from low-income and foster families to camp in Maine each summer. Unlike similar organizations, TSC brings campers back year after year. So the programming— and the community— grow with the campers. TSC also provides a literacy program to make sure that campers are reading at grade level as well as a mentorship program for “graduates." Smoky Mountain Sk8way & FUN ZONE has once again partnered with area teachers and specialists to offer a fun, affordable, healthy and safe summer day camp experience for kids who've finished kindergarten through sixth grade. Skate, Learn, Play is the theme. This year the summer camp has gone the extra mile to become an officially licensed camp by the State of North Carolina which allows them to accept subsidized payments from Southwestern Child Development. The Sk8way has also added a 5,000 sq ft outdoor park for the kids to play in, new games and activities and even better, most will agree, they will have nutritious breakfast and lunches provided by the Haywood County School System. 04th 2016 Camp, Horse Lovers OVERNIGHT - Blue Point Stables
This "Horse Lovers" OVERNIGHT Camp begins on a Monday at 9:00 am and continues until Friday at 4:00 pm. Campers will be assigned a horse to ride and care for. In the larger enrollment classes, campers share assigned horses. Activities that the campers will be involved with are... Riding Lessons (generally twice a day, weather permitting) Grooming, Stall Care & Management, Equine Characteristics, Arts and Crafts, Horse Health and Welfare and Swimming Pool fun at the end of each day. Plus, making friends or renewing previous relationships with new and returning campers alike. Campers will need to bring appropriate clothing for each day, to include layered warm clothing on cooler days and rain gear when needed. Their breakfasts, lunches, dinners and drinks for each day will be provided by BPS. Daily change of clothing is recommended during the hotter weeks.
