Training for Tryouts Camp is designed to instruct athletes in grades 6-12 on basic volleyball skills such as serving, passing, setting, attacking, blocking and floor defense. Campers will be placed with athletes of similar skill level to ensure maximum repetitions and quality instruction. Whether youre a budding fashionista looking to make a trendy dress, or a crafty kid learning how to create a purple unicorn, this camp is perfect for you! With a plethora of on trend sewing patterns to choose from and bolts and bolts of tempting fabric, our Fashion & Machine Sewing program offers unlimited choices. Patient and skilled counselors work with individual campers of all abilities to teach all the necessary skills, from learning how to use a sewing machine to measuring, pinning, cutting, and putting patterns together. Sweets and Savories This week kids will enjoy scrumptious treats found at bakeries, cafes, and bistros. Youll learn to garnish, plate, and serve them, too! Recipes will include favorites such as fruit tarts with freshly churned ice cream, gourmet grilled cheese and summer gazpacho, double chocolate cookies, and cobb salad. Kids will safely learn kitchen fundamentals, palate development, and culinary techniques in the professional kitchen. Inspired Artists - Brookwood School
This camp uses famous artists and illustrators as inspiration for creating artistic masterpieces. Campers will enjoy learning about artists such as Renoir, Degas, van Gogh, OKeeffe, and Picasso before creating their own impressionist paintings, clay sculptures, self-portraits, large flower paintings, and cubist compositions. We will also examine works of childrens book illustrators and create collages and paintings in their styles. Inspired Artists will be led by Brookwood Schools after-school instructor extraordinaire, Marleen Wood. 6th - 12th Grade Spring Rally - Burnamwood Camp
A great prep for Summer 2016. Campers in grades 6 - 12 will have the opportunity to enjoy many of the traditional summer activities such as hiking, Bible Study and Small Groups, campfires with SMORES, and other camp games.
