She also had the opportunity to ride a horse on the trails of the Sandia Foothills. She loved being outdoors and learning about horses. They also had a good old fashioned cookout. Middle School Green Team Spring - Villa Academy
The Green Team is a student-driven after-school club that will explore issues of environmental stewardship, sustainability, and conservation such as food waste composting, recycling, energy use, and air quality. This student team will participate in hands-on environmental science projects that will include conducting research, gathering data, and analyzing and sharing results. Participants will receive community service based on attendance. This class meets every other week beginning December 17th. 206-524-7009
Girls High School Performing Resident Camp - Army & Navy Academy
Our 2016 High School Performing Camp is our premium program, consisting of high performing U18 athletes eager to train with some of the best in the country and develop in a competitive environment. Athletes will either be invited or accepted after application to attend this camp. Players will advance with USA Rugby Academy; a one-of-a-kind rugby experience which allows athletes to grow as players and offers additional opportunities for exposure and experience. Players will be pushed to develop their situational recognition around different attacks, defenses, and tactics. Our Performing Resident Camps are the top place to be selected for ATAVUS All-Star teams for both 7s and 15s competition opportunities. The camp will end with matches between teams hand selected by the camp coaches to not only allow athletes to implement what they have just learned into live play but to further throw their hand up for additional selections. There will be a shuttle from the San Diego Airport to the Army and Navy Academy. The commuter rate does not include the shuttle, board during camp, and only includes lunch. 1-888-989-8728

Our combo camps gives the two sport athlete the ability to improve their offensive and defensive game in both basketball and baseball. Half of each day will be spent on the basketball courts working on your basketball game with an outstanding coaching staff. Fine tune your baseball skills during the other half of the day, with our experienced Academy instructors. Please bring a sack lunch. Players will be grouped by age and ability level. From butterflies and beetles, to birds and buttercups, and more! Flora and fauna abounds in this secluded historic garden; there is so much to explore! Camp will be held outdoors when weather permits, as well as in Van Vlecks spacious and air conditioned Education Center. SummerARTs fantastic teaching artists will teach camp sessions, and projects will include a variety of fine art materials and methods such as drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and more. Students will have the opportunity to exhibit their work and celebrate what they have learned with family and friends at a closing reception held at the end of each session. Join us for camp in the Gardens! Discounted price applies to MAM Family Members, as well as Friends of Van Vleck House and Gardens. Using a challenge by choice philosophy, campers will develop their appreciation for the outdoors at iconic Austin-area sites, such as Blue Hole, Pedernales Falls State Park, and the Greenbelt. Campers will participate in a wide variety of activities such as kayaking, swimming, hiking and rock climbing, as well as community service projects. Throughout this experience campers will build lasting friendship and memories to last a lifetime. The second week campers have an out-of-city 2-night overnight trip. 512-735-8100
