Doodle Draw Cartooning - S1 - Plymouth Community Arts Council
From Manga to classic Superheroes, campers will explore different drawing, cartooning and animation styles in this extraordinary mixed media class. Some of our projects include creating character profiles and story lines to use in your own comic book and figure, and making doodles into colorful art posters. We will even design our own personal crest and make t-shirt transfers. Students work will be exhibited in our end of summer Art Show. 734-416-4278
Swim, Tennis and Flag Football Camp - Community Services Department - City of Palo Alto
Please sign up early for our popular tennis, flag football & swim camps held at Palo Altos Rinconada Park and Pool. Participants start each day with a tennis lesson 10-11:30am from the staff of Tennis program. Following tennis, the participates will eat with swim staff to eat from 11;30 am until 12:30 pm in the Rinconada Park. Following lunch the participates will head out to the field to engage in flag football from 12:30-2:30 pm with the Skyhawks coaching staff. After Skyhawks flag football, the participants will head over to the Rinconada Pool where they will enjoy swimming lessons, water games and be supervised by our lifeguards. Cost includes tennis lessons, soccer lessons, entrance to recreation swim, and supervision. Participants should bring a bag lunch, tennis racket, bathing suit, sunscreen, comfortable shoes and a towel each day. Ages 8-12. Pre and Post Care will be available before and after this camp. Volleyball is the ultimate team sport. It is exciting, action packed and one of the fastest growing sports in the Tidewater area. The game requires outstanding hand-eye coordination, skill mastery, quickness, anticipation, teamwork and the motivation to "lay it all on the line." Now is a great time for your child to get started or further develop their game at the NCS volleyball camp. Campers will receive instruction in the six skills of volleyball: serving, passing, digging, setting, attacking and blocking. Campers will learn rotational and perimeter defenses and how and when to use them. Though instruction will be thorough, the atmosphere will be positive and enjoyable for all the campers.
