If you're opening to travel, I would suggest making a list of what you (and your son) are looking for in a camp. Is there a particular activity he likes or would like to try? Is a religious based program important, if so, how important? Do you want it to be an all boys camp or would you prefer a coed experience? I suggest looking at American Camp Association Accredited camps. Also program length is important. If your son is independent and does well away from home you could consider a two-week program. If he does not do well away...

Youth Leadership Summit 2.0
Held in Ashland, Nebraska at Carol Joy Holling Camp and Retreat Center, this event will gather youth from across the ELCA for intentional leadership development and faith formation. Our guests include Presiding Bishop Eaton, Kevin Strickland, Assistant to the Presiding Bishop/Executive for Worship, Stephen Bouman, Executive Director for Congregational and Synodical Missions of the ELCA, and several other wonderful speakers and teachers. Our featured presenter is Lyle Griner who will be coaching us on Peer Ministry. Each synod will select two youth to participate and send one adult to accompany them on the journey. Registration will be covered by a special grant. Your only responsibilities will be travel and being open to what God has in store for you through this event. Registration closes on October 1, 2015.

Lets Play Spanish (Grades PreK-5th) - Ethical Culture
Hola! Join us this summer at Lets Play in Spanish, where students will learn and practice their vocabulary and conversational skills in a fun environment. The focus will be on learning Spanish through music, art, food, and field trips. Classes will be held indoors and outdoors. Field trips vary each week. Attendance for both weeks is preferable but not required. "Ambiguitos En Espanol" - a perfect option for our younger campers. "Ambiguitos En Espanol" will introduce the earliest learners to the Spanish language through games, music, dramatic play and art. Through language immersion as well as bilingual curriculum, camper will practice conversational Spanish and increase their Spanish vocabulary.
