Youth Guys Camping Trip - Nashville, IN
We are going to be taking the guys of the youth group on a camping trip to Yellow Wood State Forest campground. If there is a Dad(s) that is wishing to attend please talk to Jason and Josh Brown as soon as possible. We plan to leave the Church at 4:00 PM on May 13th, so please plan to be at the Church at 3:30 PM if possible. The cost for this event is $20/Person which takes care of your food and campsite fees. This event is open to both high school, and middle school guys and the deadline for money and paperwork will be May 1st at 8 PM. We will also be sending out a packing list a little bit later on. You can sign-up either on Facebook or on the sign-up sheet on Sunday night.

This camp experience is a 3 week block meant to give high school students that have completed their freshman and sophomore year an opportunity to lead at camp. They will have the opportunity to work with the camp staff, as well as be part of the summer camp program in helping to lead in several different capacities. Alongside program leadership, grounds/dining hall service, and cabin assistance, LITs will have the chance to grow in faith as well, with specific bible studies geared towards their lives. 662-234-3350
Art for the Senses - The Evergreen School
All five senses will be used as we do indoor and outdoor art projects. Students will discover how much they can see, taste, hear, touch, and smell art! The class will be exploring with color, texture, and other different art mediums. Much science is worked into their work as well as both small and some large motor skills. Spin, glide, wiggle and swizzle! Each morning, take a bus from Balboa Campus to the San Diego Ice Skating Rink for a half-hour lesson and two hours of free skating time. Children through young adults with HFA/Aspergers Syndrome have the opportunity to explore the art of improv, drama, and music with their peers. Drama Club is directed by a drama professional and music therapist who have extensive experience working with children and adults on the spectrum.This group provides participants with the opportunity to improve their communication skills within a small group or in front of a larger audience. Research has shown that children who participate in Drama/Acting activities improve their ability to react and respond to imaginary situations and feelings and eventually generalize these skills into their daily living. Acting can improve a childs self-confidence, communication and relatedness with their peers. This years production is Shrek the Musical Jr. 678-720-2177
