Parents do not have to worry if their children cannot swim. There are many safety precautions in place to protect youth. For example, qualified lifeguards certified in CPR and First Aid are always on duty to make sure that children are safe when swimming. Additionally, the summer program will assess all kids’ swimming abilities. There are instructors on site that can help interested youth improve their swimming skills or learn to swim.

This is a session that helps campers transition into being a CIT. In preparation for becoming role models for the younger generations of campers, participants in the CIT camp will undergo a training schedule that mimics the staff training period prior to summer camp. They will also study, plan, and participate in several camp activities. Includes one overnight. 2083091005.0

The camp is staffed by current Flagler College coaches, other college coaches from local schools and universities, elite youth academy coaches as well as current and former Flagler College mens and womens tennis players. Junior camp emphasizes running technique, basic track and field skills, and learning a variety of events. Each camper will learn how to pole vault, sprint, throw, jump and run. This course is designed to improve reading ability in comprehension, speed, and vocabulary. The required summer reading book from the appropriate grade level will be the text.
