Roanoke Homeschool PE Session 5 incl. Field Day - Roanoke Rec Center
May Session 5 includes Field Day 2016!! Field Day May 20th PE is a 90 minute class that allows students to explore many sports in a short time. This program is designed so that students can be ACTIVE and learn about athletics and team sports. Each class begins with a dynamic warm-up and stretch. We rotate through agility stations and drills. Each unit of study includes sport specific drills and games. Including rules of the game, strategy and the fundamentals required to play. Broadway Workshop - Broadway Workshop
Broadway Workshop gives young actors of all skill levels the opportunity to explore their creativity through acting, singing and dance. Our Programs are taught by working professionals, from Broadway stars to Casting Directors and Agents. Our Students not only learn about and experience all aspects of the theatre through our Workshops, Industry Showcases, private and small group coachings but they also gain skills in the areas of communication, self confidence, and teamwork in a supportive, positive and most of all FUN environment! Futsal Camps - Futsal Camp - Camden Community Center
Futsal is a fun, fast-paced 5v5 soccer game, played indoors within the lines of a basketball court (no walls), using a small, size 3, low-bounce ball. This week long futsal camp is fantastic way to get into the game whether you are trying futsal for the first time or are the next Beckham! Our highly trained professional coaching staff will ensure that your child will improve their technical skills and level of play all while having a great time. All participants will receive a Futsal Kingz T-Shirt. Park Adventures Camp - Historic Yates Mill County Park
This adventure camp allows participants to gain a sense of accomplishment by attaining goals in a unique historical setting and diverse natural environment. Daily camp themes include (1) Explorers & Mapping, (2) Pioneer-Farmers & Agriculture, (3) Millers & Mechanics, (4) History Detectives, and (5) Artist-Naturalists & Ecology. Among other activities, Day 1 includes a hike around the park, orienteering exercises and a canoe float; Day 2 includes a planting activity and visits to a local organic farm and the State Farmers Market; Day 3 includes a mill tour and an inventors workshop with simple machines; Day 4 includes a group mystery to solve and a road trip to the NC Museum of History; and Day 5 includes wildlife studies and sketching, pond dipping with nets and cane pole fishing. This program is almost full. Consider the waiting list as a backup option. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a drop off program for ages 7-14; fee: $184.00/child (includes a $4.00 mill tour). KidFit - St. Agnes Academy-St. Dominic School
For rising PK-SK students (must be 3 years old by June 1) Fit kids are happy kids! This camp will engage children with fun and friendly activities all week long, as well as educate them on the importance of living a healthy lifestyle with exercise and nutrition. Camp consists of a warm up, balance, sports, aerobics, agility, flexibility, rhythm, nutrition education and coordination. Sign up for KidFit and have a happy, healthy camper all week!
