CAMP SPECIFICS Camps are focused on individual basketball skills, team strategies, and game play. Each camp will have developmentally appropriate work on basketball fundamentals in dribbling, passing, shooting, and attacking the basket. Mansfield State Historic Site is hosting an “immersive” event that will allow you to experience what many of the soldiers of the American Civil War did. Be enlisted, set up your camp, drill, enjoy a period type lunch, and more! There are 16 slots available for this program and pre-registration is required. Registration is $25 (paid on day of program) for each child, which includes the meal. The last day for Pre-Registration is April 8th. Club 3-D - On Target Outfitters
This summer-long program allows students who enjoy shooting the 3-D targets a chance to shoot at a variety of different clubs throughout the summer. Its a fun way for participants to hone their skills, challenge each other, enjoy the great outdoors. Club 3-D is for students who have completed grades 4-12 who have their own archery equipment. August 8-12th Winona River Rats - Jaycees Pavilion
Learn and create riverside games using found rocks, sticks, and whatever else the river gives us. Build miniature test rafts and race them. Build a rafts large and small. Learn about useful and edible aquatic plants and animals. Track aquatic creatures along riverbank including the beaver, muskrat, heron, raccoon and more. Build primitive forts. Make and fish with a simple cane pole just like Huck and Tom. Use cane pole as part of stick and bindle (hobo satchel) to carry your goods during your travels. Search for treasures to fill your bindle. Barter and trade for each others treasures. 507-272-5320
Magic Tree House Club - Old Trail School
Come along as we help Annie and Jack, two normal kids from Frog Creek, Pennsylvania (much like you), to free Morgan le Fay from a spell, solve ancient riddles and save four old stories from being lost for good. This camp will use the Magic Tree house books to serve as a guide as campers try to become Master Librarians. Each day will include reading, time outside and a snack. Ashland University Mens Soccer Camp - Old Trail School
Coaches from the Mens Soccer program at Ashland University, lead by Head Coach Oliver Slawson, will focus on skill development for young soccer players. Campers will learn soccer skills and techniques through exercises and games specifically designed for young players. Campers are encouraged to learn and develop at their own pace, under the careful guidance of Ashland Mens Soccer Coaching staff and players. Coach Slawson was a 10-year Assistant Coach at The University of Akron and Director of the Akron Soccer Camps, prior to becoming the Head Coach at Ashland University in January 2016. Having developed thousands of campers and youth players in Northeast Ohio, Coach Slawsons Ashland Camp will be a fun and interactive week of soccer, where campers will experience technical development with the emphasis always on fun and learning through individual and small group training activities & games!
