At Camp La Junta, every boy is important at every moment. They cater to building up each boy’s self confidence in order to take some pressure off of them. They don’t have girls because they feel there is social pressure, they don’t have team sports because they feel that there is pressure to be more athletic, and they don’t grade any performance because that simply adds to the pressure, too. Each boy’s schedule revolved around what they want to do, achieve and learn. They go to activities in order to gain interest and have fun. Everyone succeeds at CLJ.
