Tennis Co-Ed - Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy
The NDP tennis camp will introduce the sport to newcomers, and provide further instruction to those who are experienced and want to compete at the high school level. The main goal of this camp is to help players improve their skills while learning tennis etiquette and good sportsmanship. The drills and exercises taught by current NDP coaches and players are both fun and useful for tennis and other sports. What to wear/bring: Athletic attire, tennis shoes and socks, tennis racquet, towel and water bottle. (Rain day June 17). Please note our new cancellation policy. A 50% fee of the cost of the camp shall be applied to an individual who cancels. All participants must register online. No paper applications are accepted.* Location: NDP Tennis Courts 248-373-5300

This ensemble is intended for students with 1+ years of experience on a band instrument. Instruction will focus on introduction to and performance of jazz and associated forms of music. Opti 2 - Sailing, Tennis, & Seamanship ( Intermediate ) Eligibility AYC Jr Sailing is open to all children regardless of membership status. Admittance in the 2s class is based on their ability and performance in Opti 1s, and demonstration of adequate swimming skills for safety purposes. Or beginners in the Opti 2 age range, 10-12. Sailing The Opti 2 Sailing class builds on the 1s mastery of the basic skills of sailing. Participants will work on developing advanced sailing skills. A Opti 2 sailor will be able to master basic knots, have a strong understanding of the parts of the boat and sail and their effects on powering and de-powering the boat. Sailors will have a constant awareness of the wind, be able to trim for different points of sail and conditions, have an awareness of body position relative to wind and wave conditions, and consistently use tiller extension. The 2s will make controlled gybes, tack without falling-off the breeze, sail in and out of the river independently, land on docks or instructors motor boat safely, and have a basic understanding of the Rules of the Road.
