Botetourt County and The Golf Academy at Ashley have joined forces to offer summer Junior Golf Camps. From the registraiton fees of $165.00 ($50 deposit, $115.00 payable at camp), each child will receive: 12 hours of professional group instruction by Jeff Sprinkel , Ashley Plantation logo shirt, use of range balls, entry fee and green fee for tournament, daily prizes and tournament prizes, free camp group picture, video instruction, PGA Junior Golf Foundation Membership Card, Rules of Golf booklet, PGA Junior Golf Foundation Certificate, reduced green fees outside camp sessions, free awards cookout on Friday and a full agenda of golfing activities. Aroostook Teen Leadership Camp Stew Night - Presque Isle, ME
On Friday, February 17th, starting at 5:00 PM and ending at 7:00 PM, Aroostook Teen Leadership Camp (ATLC) will be hosting Stew Night at the Presque Isle Snowmobile Club. For $6, you can get a combo of a Main Dish (Tomato Soup, Taco Soup, Chicken Stew, Venison Chili and Beef Stew), roll, drink and a dessert. LBBC Youth Rally - Christianity In Song - Independence, MO
This is our 3rd ANNUAL YOUTH RALLY HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED. The Youth Rally is open to all ages. It is once again an overnight event. We need adult volunteers to cook and supervise the cabins. Campers 8 and under are welcome with a parent on site. Lessons begin at 7 pm Friday night. We will be looking at Christianity through the lenses of our favorite campfire songs. Come prepared to do some serious singing. Dinner WILL NOT be served. EAT BEFORE YOU COME ON FRIDAY NIGHT. Snacks will be provided after campfire. Breakfast will be at 8 AM with the first lesson beginning at 9 AM. Lunch will be served at noon. The last activity will be done at 2 PM. Everyone needs to leave by 3 PM.

Week 4 AM - Taste of Optis - NESS
Its never too early to get on the water! The Taste of Optis class is designed for kids aged 6-11 and does not require sailing experience. Meant to be a fun group experience, it enables kids to get a taste of sailing in one week of instruction. Students will become familiar with water safety on the docks and in an optimist trainer, while learning what it feels like to be on the water. Over the week the students will be introduced to the different parts of the boat, knots, rigging and steering. New-US Writing Workshop SII (11th-12th) - Francis W Parker
Parkers new summer Writing Workshops for students entering grades 10-12 offers students the opportunity to learn, explore, review and practice a variety of writing skills, including grammar, usage and sentence structures. These intensive, one-week workshops will help students fill gaps, develop comfort, and prepare for future classroom writing experiences. These workshops will be taught by members of the Francis Parker English Department Faculty. In the workshop for rising 11th and 12th graders, students will work in a variety of genres including persuasive, analytical, narrative and creative, with a special concentration on grammar/usage and the personal essay.
