Explore the Majesty of Costa Ricas Jungle Animals & Learn Spanish Campers explore the dynamic jungle of Costa Rica. The colorful and intriguing animals are extraordinary and will magically ‘transport campers to the ‘jungle where it is super fun to speak Spanish. During this week campers get to build a large scale ‘time travel machine out of recyclable materials. Campers play active & quiet games, create, sing songs, act, dance, cook, play sports, and discover the joys of learning Spanish through various activities. Theme vocabulary includes colors, verbs, nouns, adjectives all about these animals and their unique features. CELEBRATION DAY: WEDNESDAY (always optional)- Go Wild Day Come to camp dressed in your favorite animal prints or animal tees. During camp choice time choose your favorite wild animal look for our special face paint activity! Notes: There may be options for arranging late pick up the same day. This girls-only camp is a favorite camp for my 12 year old daughter. There are a variety of day and week long camps offered; each according to a girl’s age. Girls have lots of choices with this camp. They can choose between camping in a tree house or a tent. They can do one overnight stay or a week long stay. There are plenty of outdoor activities to keep girls interested and learn about nature. Campers will learn to become confident writers! Practice makes perfect and campers will have fun writing! This camp offers instruction and practice in creative writing including: journaling, brainstorming strategies, short stories, poems, prompts and more. Campers will practice their writing skills and have fun doing so as they play word games, learn fun writing strategies and share their creative stories. Come out and learn Cheerleading under the direction of an multi award winning coach and NCS Varsity squad. Coach Amanda Beery has led her team to FCC National Championships, coached girls to win Individual and Team performance awards. During this week of camp campers will learn skills that emphasize proper form and as well as safety. Stunting: Starting with low-level skills such as thigh stands and progressing to semi-advanced stunts. Tumbling: Cartwheels, handstands and round offs. Those with a solid tumbling background will work on back handspring technique. Motions: Learn all motions and the names for each arm placement with a focus on sharp and properly executed technique. Cheers: Cheers will be taught to the participants, implementing the skills learned at camp Dance: A dance will be taught utilizing the needed to excel in cheer dance.
