Camp Mark Seven offers many development and leadership activities for the deaf youth and children programs. The program is designed to provide a sense of caring for one other, honesty, respect as well as enhancing each campers self confidence, self esteem, social skills, teamwork, initiative, work and play with other campers and camp staff. With this goal, campers will have fun with diverse camp activities. Program activities: Swimming and tubing. Paddle a canoe on the chosen rivers/lakes and camp out under the stars. Low ropes course. Diverse outdoor games. Arts & crafts. Hike different mountains. Evening Bonfires. Shopping in Old Forge and Inlet. My twin son and daughter, aged 10, can’t wait for Camp Si-La Meo every summer. It is designed for ages 5-15 years old and has a variety of activities for each age group. There are many outdoor activities: rock climbing, swimming, archery, boating, hiking, rifle training and horseback riding. This camp provides experiences my kids would otherwise not experience.... Join us for a fun-filled day experiencing an interactive storytelling adventure about the myth of King Midas! Each student will decorate a golden mask and participate in recreating the story. Students will also learn about Turkey and the cultural traditions of the land where King Midas once ruled. We will also explore the rich and colorful patterns of Turkish tiles, and each student will design and decorate their own tile to take home. A mid-morning snack will be served. Choice indoor and outdoor activities will be offered, as well as a walk to Taney Park, weather permitting. Please pack a lunch (including a beverage) in a disposable bag. For the safety of our students, please DO NOT INCLUDE PEANUT BUTTER or any nuts in your childs lunch. The program will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with drop-off available in the yard beginning at 8:00 a.m. (at no extra charge). **Extended day is available from 3:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. for an additional $20. We seek to integrate a biblical worldview in all our time we spend together. We understand this is a great opportunity not only to ell the campers about Gods Word, but also to show them how it is related to everyday life. Paul said it well when he wrote, "For me to live is Christ." That is what we model here for our campers. Social Emphasis: We also understand the importance of your child meeting and learning to work together with other children and adults. We will help them learn positive ways to make friends and guide them in being friends to others. Teamwork will also be taught through various games and activities.
