The most appropriate camp option for an 8 year old girl is a day camp program. Day camps are offered by local community centers, schools, youth groups, and some times by the local sports or arts centers. An 8 year old girl would really enjoy a program that provides a good combination of creative arts classes, like pottery, drawing, and active workshops, like yoga and dance. You also want to make sure that she gets exposure to some team sports and swimming, as these activities develop very important skills for her development....

The Salvation Army of Oklahoma, Canadian and Cleveland Counties plan to sponsor 175 children to go to The Salvation Army's beautiful The Salvation Army Heart O'Hills Camp & Conference Center for a week of Adventure in God's outdoor creation. We need $210 a child. Please Consider sponsoring a child for a week at camp this summer. The beauty of yoga is self discovery. The best time for that is now! Introducing a new Teen Yoga Camp at Essential Hot Yoga Glennwood location. It is often said by yoga students, "I wish I would have found yoga much younger". Yoga gently opens up the body and the mind for greater self love and compassion. The teen years can be very confusing with many physical changes resulting in emotional and mental stress. The connection of body and mind through the practice of yoga has been shown to benefit children greatly and provide a path for self regulation as they transition into young adults. Join the YSI naturalists and develop your investigative skills to help us solve a natural mystery! Learn how to utilize your senses and then employ the tools of a scientist to delve more deeply into the mysteries of the world around us. Look for clues that animals leave behind and see what you can discover. Conduct tests on water and soil and learn how to use magnification tools to examine small evidence and to see things that hide from the naked eye. Finally combine your knowledge with that of other campers and apply these tools and insights to solve a natural mystery. 408-827-5507
Football Camp 6th - 8th - SCDS
The goal of the Hornet Football Camp is to give campers the finest football instruction and a stepping stone to becoming a confident football player, while having a week of fun! This is notaconditioning or recreational camp. This camp is designed to teach the football techniques used at the high school level and to help prepare the players for their upcoming SPAL season. The Savannah Country Day high school football coaches will be the camp instructors along with former Hornet players and some current college football players. Campers will be taught the fundamental skills for their specific position on both sides of the ball as well as compete in group drills to help prepare them for another championship season of SPAL football. In this fun and focused camp, kids will learn how to arrange a still life and paint what they observe. The camp will explore composition, color mixing, creating texture and patterns, and will review the masters of still life painting and their styles including Impressionism, Expressionism, and Cubism. This camp we take them from intermediate to high level advanced in terms of basketball IQ and skills taught. These camps help us identify special talents or future Camp Right Ways and International Middle School Combine (IMSC). Though these camps are not invite only we do actively recruit identified players nationally and warn against this being a 5/6 th graders first organized basketball experience because it is so advanced and intense. • Each Camp Participant Will Receive Camp Memento • A meal served to Players around 4:30pm on Saturday Only • Education Sessions by Knowledgeable Guest Speakers • Team and Individual Evaluation various Evaluation Services • 8 Stations with Two (2) Coaches Per Station • Staff of Former Professional and College Players • 5 Competitive Games • Evaluation Services *YOUR PARTICIPANT CONFIRMATION IS NOT CONFIRMED UNTIL PAYMENT IS RECEIVED NO REFUNDS - Refunds will be a credit to a future JLE camp/clinic of the Players age group.
