Join us as we take art to the Natural History Museum of Utah. We will meet on location and will set-up our drawing boards to sketch dinosaurs, gems, geology, and much more. We will use several mediums including: pencil, charcoal, pastel, watercolor, markers, and ink. This is a great time to learn new art techniques and learn about Utahs ancient history. We will provide all the supplies as well as a VAI t-shirt for all students. 801-474-3796

Parents should always take the time to consider a camp’s facilities and features when selecting a program for their children. It is important to keep in mind advanced facilities as well as safety. The location of the camp is important. Some programs have pools whereas others have lakes. It is important to explore what makes each organization and its program different. Many camps will have photos and information about their camp’s features and facilities online. Taking a tour is another chance to see the facilities.

Schools out and we have things to do ! Come hang with us for a few hours ! Ages 8 and up unless An adult is going to stay in the class. $25! Gets your child instructed project time in clay and a snack and a drink . Save $5 on registration when you have 3 or more students sign up . ( group discounts apply on the 3 student and up) We're only accepting 30 students per session. Well post the link on Monday . Session Two Class Details - This session student will Paint their previously hand built a bird bath and if they get done in time any bonus item we gifted them ! We're also painting door signs ! Summer fun theme ! These are indoor / outdoor ready signs cut from solid wood ( no mdf)

Fun to be had with Camp Games, wood cookie creation, REI hosted campfire sessions on different aspects of camping, and a drawing for a free week of camp for any new families! Bring your friends and introduce them to the joys of camping at YMCA Camp Collins.

Back to School Boot Camp (4th-5th grades) - 801 Magnolia
Back to School Boot Camp: Fourth and Fifth Grade CurriculumGet your mind and body fit for the school year with this unique experience. Join Mr. Chad Hamilton and Mr. Ben Spencer, both credentialed teachers, for their Back to School Boot Camp! The program combines academic tutoring and athletic activities. Reading, writing, and math skill building will be alternated with athletic activities to prepare incoming second, third, fourth, fifth & sixth graders. All curriculum will be aligned with Common Core Standards. Students will be given optional homework, needed literature and academic materials. Parents will be given an opportunity to share their childs needs prior to the camps introduction so curriculum can be individualized. Students will use the athletic activities and games to guide academic projects. Think calculating averages, graphing and sport related literature. Boot Campers will receive one-on-one and small group instruction!
