Rookies - Session I - Camp Jack Hazard
Rookie Camp is a four-day, three-night mini-session designed for first time campers as an introduction to the camp and preparation for a full length Camp Jack Hazard session. Campers will try all of the activities available to Resident Campers, including: games, campfires, camp programs and an on-site overnight where theyll have the opportunity to sleep under the stars without leaving CJH grounds. A low camper to staff ratio ensures that each camper receives the personal attention they deserve to create a fun and memorable first camp experience. (209) 965-7254

2005 Mariners ($315 for 2 weeks, Members) - Nantucket Yacht Club
Formerly Beginner Sailing. Please choose 2 weeks minimum. This class is taught in Rhodes 19s, Capri 14s, and Optimists. Mariners is designed to give the sailor a strong fundamental base of sailing skills such as rigging, tacking, gybing, sail trim, hiking, and some advanced boat handling. The overall goal is to make the sailor comfortable on the water in varying conditions, while eventually becoming proficient sailing alone in the Opti. Inside the Mariners class, we typically divide into three color groups: Forest Green (Novice), Lime Green (Intermediate Mariner), and Army Green(Advanced Mariner). As the child improves, they will advance through the groups until they are ready for Whalers. *Please note that the 2005 Mariner class is for those with a birthdate of 2005 or earlier. 508-228-1400

Explore the Natural Wonders of Harris Lake County Park while hiking or on a back roads wagon ride. Experience the fun of fabulous fishing and canoeing, enjoy games and crafts with new friends, try out geocaching, "disc-over" the sport of disc golf and learn some survival skills. This five day camp meets at the Cypress Shelter each day! A registration packet including a health history form and more information will be sent to you with your paid registration online. Ages 7-14. This fun art camp is all about color, expression and exploration. Well use a wide range of materials to paint, draw, print, collage, sculpt and express our creative selves. *$20 materials & supplies fee due to instructor on the first day. No experience necessary. This after-school club meets every Wednesday to unplug, experience farm-life, do a little homework and get active outdoors. Fun, hands-on activities strive to cultivate childrens connection to the environment, inspiring a genuine understanding of how and why we promote clean, healthy habitats for all living things.
