Summer Farmers 1: Farm Friends - Terra Firma Farm
Walk in the footsteps of a farmer for a week, and experience what it takes to be a good farmer and naturalust. Become a Mad Scientist while performing labs as a CSI (crime scene investigator), create your own version of slime/goo, make the coolest, largest soap bubbles possible, set-off exploding Mentos geysers, and more! The Mad Scientist Summer Camp gives kids the opportunity to learn about science through a variety of interactive and hands-on science experiments and activities. Professional Scene Study (Sp16JUN) - Aquila Morong Studio
This class is an "actors gymnasium," where you will be asked to follow direction, learn what directors look for on set, and get invaluable feedback on your work. Donna Morong, noted Casting Director and Acting Teacher, will provide feedback alongside a guest director as you are filmed performing scenes from film and TV. Students will learn how to work on-set under pressure in a simulated professional environment. Previous directors include: Randall Zisk (Scandal, The Mentalist, Monk), Gary Fleder (Homefront), Damon Santostefano (Three To Tango), Will Geiger (Elvis and Anabelle), Brett Simon (Assassination of a High School President), and Anna Mastro (Guidance,Walter). "I encourage my students to take risks, explore different choices and delve more deeply into the characters they are portraying. I provide an environment that is close to a professional work situation without the pressure of having to prove anything. I hope to develop their own internal sense of emotional truth as it applies to film, theater and television roles. Zombie Survivor Lake Camp - City of Boerne Lake Park
The Zombie Apocalypse is coming! Do not be caught unprepared! Zombie Apocalypse Survival Camp teaches survival skills vital to protecting yourself and your family from invading zombies! Skills including: evasion tactics to avoid zombies, zombie combat in case you have an encounter, fishing, archery, shelter building and outdoor cooking for basic survival once the world as we know it has been ended. The undead wont stand a chance, but you will! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Camp Day Schedule : Hunt and Hike, snack, Activities Camp Curriculum by Day : Hike Park, Stealth and Evasion, Archery Combat, camo hide and seek, hunting, scavenger hunt, fishing, traps, campfire building, cooking.
