Youth Summer Camp - Hampden Sydney, VA
The HST Summer Youth Camp will run for 4 days from 9 AM – 12 PM. The camp focus is on baseball instruction and drills to improve the skill. The camp will begin with an introduction of the fundamentals of baseball. Each day will begin with throwing and catching drills. The session will be followed by position training. Each player will learn about each position on the field. Each day there will also be a specialty skill learned. These skills will be base running, sliding, and bunting. Each day ends with games. Juniors-Ambassadors: Stow away at Whispering Oaks or Winacka between sessions! Once your first session ends, hang out at camp overnight to rest up for your next adventure. Do laundry, watch a movie and explore camp after everyone else has gone home. Only open to campers registered for sessions 3 and 4 or sessions 6 and 7. Modern cabin accommodations. Acorn (Pre-school: Ages 3 - 5) - Mount Shepherd Retreat Center
Acorns will spend the week creating nature-inspired crafts, taking a wagon ride, cooling off with water play, hiking Little Mountain, playing, exploring and having an all-round great time. Acorns will enjoy a separate worship service with age appropriate songs and lessons. Acorns are led by trained staff at a ratio of 1:6. Acorn camp is for children who have not yet attended Kindergarten and are potty trained. Acorns go home before lunch but will be provided a nutritious morning snack. Drop off is between 7:30 and 8:30. Pick up is between 12:00 and 12:30. 336-629-4085
