Competitive Speech - BASIS Independent Silicon Valley
Speech teaches fundamental lessons that are absolutely essential for success in the exceedingly competitive 21st century. This competitive Speech class will give students a jump start to the 2016-17 competitive session. SummerART Camp Full Day Studio Art Program 9:30am to 5pm Studio Art with Sketching Studio Session II: July 11 to July 22 Studio Art Camp Matisse and Friends: Colors of the Modern Masters Purple skies, pink trees, red rooms, and green people! Its all about color and imagination this session, which will explore artwork by famous Modern and Post Modern masters like Henri Matisse, Paul Gauguin and Pablo Picasso. These artists experimented with depicting the world using fantastic colors, and a bold and expressive style of brushwork. We will experience color in a whole new way while working in fine art materials, found objects, collage, printmaking, and more! Campers will be inspired to create their own wild and wonderful masterpieces. Instruction will be given on foundation drawing techniques, such as line, shading, composition, proportion, and perspective using a variety of subject matter. Ahoy all Mateys! Come aboard as we travel to Pirate Island where well find treasure chests, sandy beaches, colorful parrots and lots of fun! Our Mateys will use their imagination to create pirate ships, sand castles, treasure maps, sea monster puppets and ship flags to be used in our games and high seas adventures. Arrrgh! $20 material fee due to instructor on first day. Vocal Ensemble (SPRING) - Greenleaf Performing Arts Academy
Students will prepare a blend of contemporary, sacred, traditional, and popular songs as they gain experience with harmonization, sight-singing, and group performance!
