Kid's Summer Camp! Picasso Week! *Ages 7-13 - Sherman, TX
Campers, ages 7-13, will explore the artist Vincent Van Gogh all week through paintings and other related activities. They will paint a 16x20 painting each day M-Th, and work on a 24-36 self portrait through the week. The week will end with an art show Friday evening from 5-6pm. Every camper receives a camp t-shirt and daily snack. Other activities and crafts will be used to supplement daily lessons! Camp: Monday- Friday, 1pm-4pm Art show: Friday 5-6pm
Youth Summer Camp - Santa Barbara, CA
2 Weeks of Aikido Camp. Monday through Friday Camp Hours: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Early drop (starting from 7:30am) off & late pick up (up to 6pm) up also available. We start at the dojo in the morning with formal Aikido classes. Then we clean up, eat lunch, and weather permitting, change into beach wear and head to the beach for lots of Aikido-related games and races, like sumo wrestling and bokto watermelon-cutting. Kids Winter Art Camp: Mixed-Media Masks! - Bellingham, WA
In this winter break art class, we'll imagine that we are in a warm tropical place with palm trees, wild birds singing, and sandy beaches. To inspire our imagination, we’ll learn about the French post-Impressionist artist Paul Gauguin, the location of Tahiti, and a brief history of Tikis. Tiki masks actually have a long, rich history in Polynesian culture. The Tiki masks were originally hand-carved wooden masks that were used to symbolize deities, give protection, and increase luck. We'll create our own colorful and textured papers with paints with a variety of brushes, and different items to make texture, in mixed-media format, then use the painted papers to create our Tiki masks. If you have a heart for mission, love being at camp and the desire to become a camp volunteer or counselor then this LIT camp is just for you. Youth 6th – 9th grade are invited to put faith into action and join us for one or both of these Leadership camps where we will focus on Christian Leadership and Discipleship. LITs will spend part of the week enjoying traditional camp fun and the rest of the time shadowing our trained staff in leadership development and faith building activities while serving as mentors and junior counselors to our day campers.
