Wolverine Camps is a great setting for the inspired eye to capture beauty and create memorable pieces of art. Campers will demonstrate creative expression, learn advanced skills, techniques, and in-depth use of materials, vocabulary, and the principles of design. Students of all artistic levels can develop their creative techniques in this week long camp. Tuition includes all meals, lodging, instruction, art materials and camp t-shirt. Sunflower Basketball Camp - Ages 6-7 - Olathe Community Center
This is a fundamentally-based camp for boys and girls ages 6-13; focusing on skill development through daily drill periods, contests, and competitive games. Instruction is provided by High School coaches and current and former college basketball players. Camp Director, Brett McFall, is an Olathe South High School grad and 1997 Mr. Kansas Basketball. Brett was a 4-year player at the University of Wyoming (1997-2001) and played professionally in Europe and the USA (2002-2004). He has 13 years of coaching experience and is currently the head coach at Shawnee Mission South High School. Each participant will receive a camp t-shirt. Wright Denny Day Camp - Jefferson County Parks and Recreation Commission
Spend your summer vacation with us! Wright Denny Day Camp offers 2 trips to the Jefferson Memorial pool per week and weekly themed crafts and activities. T-shirt is included in camp price. Camp hours are 8:00am-4:00pm. Cost for camp is $95 per week (4th of July week is $76).Full payment is due at time of registration. Lego EV3 Robotics - Universalist Unitarian Church - Arlington
Lego EV3 Robotics (Ages 8 through 12) This program introduces students to the exciting world of robotics. Students will use the Lego Mindstorms EV3 elements to program their robots to solve a series of challenges everyday. They will build using motors of different power and experiment with touch, ultrasonic, gyro, and color sensor to play fun games such as hockey and sumo wrestling. Lessons will cover topics in computer science, technology, engineering, math, and science. Campers will learn fundamentals of programming blocks such as loops, conditional operations, and the use of variables to store sensor values; and will learn how to program remote control, create parallel programming, and use computers, Bluetooth, and other technologies to connect with their robots. After mastering the basics of Lego EV3 building and programming, students will be immersed in a series of challenging Mars missions: launch the satellite, collect rocks, activate communications, save the robot, secure the power supply, and return to base safely.
