Located on the oceanfront Army and Navy Academy campus in Southern California, Academy by the Sea caters to domestic and international co-ed participants by offering a variety of programs in three distinct categories, including academics, leadership, and recreation. This allows participants to select the session that best meets their needs. While portions of participants’ days are dedicated to instructional classes, the remainder offers various leisure and social activities. This schedule format allows participants to take advantage of unique opportunities to build relationships with their peers. Camp-Brain (Academics) Camp-Brain Enrichment, July 1-July 27, $4100, Co-ed, Entering Grades 7-12 Camp-Brain Credit, July 1-July 27, $4100, Co-ed, Entering Grades 10-12 Enrichment session balances academics and recreation for a fulfilling experience while credit programming is offered for students interested in improving grades that were unsatisfactory in the previous academic year. Students have the benefit of participating in afternoon activities, and weekend excursions. Camp Pacific (Recreation) Camp Pacific Classic, July 8-July 27, $2600, Co-ed, Ages 10-17 Camp Pacific Adventure, July 8-July 27, $3200, Co-ed, Ages 10-17 Camp Pacific Surf, July 1-July 7, $950, Co-ed, Ages 10-17 Camp Pacific Classic focuses on teamwork, sportsmanship, and self-improvement. Through a wide variety of fun activities, campers learn new skills, gain self-confidence, and develop friendships. Camp Pacific Adventure takes part in Camp Pacific Classics’ camp activities with the addition of 5 extra trips to local attractions to give campers an additional opportunity to experience what Southern California has to offer. Camp Pacific Surf is designed to help campers improve their overall surfing and body boarding skills. Camp Challenge (Leadership) Camp Challenge (JROTC Leadership), July 15-August 10, $4495, Co-ed, Entering Grades 10-12 Camp Challenge Jr. (Middle School Leadership), June 28-July 13, $2950, Co-ed, Entering Grades 7-9 Camp Challenge (JROTC Leadership) and Camp Challenge Jr. (Middle School Leadership) reward successful participants with leadership education training that enhances their self-confidence as leaders and active team members. Both provide participants opportunities to develop their self-discipline, leadership, multi-tasking, and relationship building skills.
