Join local DMV native and star Miami Dolphins linebacker Jelani Jenkins for the ultimate kids football camp this summer. The camp will be hosted by Jenkins and ten NFL Players from around the league. The non-padded, light contact camp aims to improve youth football IQ through position-specific techniques, fundamentals and skills development. The two-day camp is for 5th grade through rising ninth grade boys and girls, and promotes healthy activity, exercise and teamwork. Know any kids who would love to attend? Want to work outside this summer? Are you an outdoor program looking for potential employees? Come to the University of New Hampshire's annual Outdoor Jobs and Camp Fair Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. in the Granite State Room of the Memorial Union Building at UNH. More than 40 employers representing non-profit outdoor and environmental agencies, commercial outfitters, summer camps and international travel companies will attend this year's fair to recruit summer and full-time employees. Some representatives conduct on-the-spot interviews. The fair, which is free for job seekers and open to the public, attracts more than 400 students and others from diverse academic fields, including outdoor education, nursing, natural resources, recreation management, theatre arts, business, and equine sciences. Attendees can win raffle prizes donated by local businesses. This is a great opportunity for networking and obtaining employment or employees early on in the hiring season. What do camping, composting and recycling have in common? Being in touch with the Earth! Involve your child in our week-long camp where they experience the fun and peace of camping outside. Seeing first hand the importance of recycling plastics and paper, and composting organic materials to feed the plants in our outdoor space. This camp is aimed at the more experienced player looking to improve on his/her skills. This camp will be instructed by Traips Varsity boys coach Jeremy Paul, and varsity girls coach Scott Blake. Those who attend will enjoy learning the fundamentals of shooting, ball handling, rebounding, passing, defense, and team play. In addition you will have some fun and challenging competitions, a basketball camp t-shirt, a continuing basketball workout schedule for when the camp is over, and excitement. Please bring a lunch each day. The price of this camp is $130 for the first child and $200 for a family, and includes a T-shirt. This camp takes place at the Kittery Community Center.
