4-H Teen Winter Retreat - Jackson, OH
Registration for the retreat will be held on Saturday, January 30, from 3– 4 p.m. and will dismiss at 10 a.m. on Sunday, January 31. The Teen Winter Retreat will feature many fun events, activities and programs. You will need to bring your completed health form and activity release form that is signed by your parent/guardian in order to participate. Please bring warm clothes and comfortable shoes as we will probably be taking part in some outdoor activities during the retreat. You will also need to bring your own, bedding, towels and bathroom supplies. Registrations should be submitted by Friday, January 22 to Canter’s Cave 4-H Camp.
Summer Youth Camp - Graham Regional Theatre - Graham, TX
Graham Regional Theatre is excited to hold their first ever summer camp for aspiring actors! Classes and rehearsals will be at The Perry (521 Elm Street) where we will work on singing, dancing, and staging for our musical, Seussical, Jr.! All roles will be played by campers ages 18 and under. Included in the cost of camp is: Theatre, vocal, and movement instruction by theatre professionals and GRT veteran performers. Camp t-shirt Script for Seussical, Jr. Costuming for Seussical, Jr. 2 comp tickets for either performance Ages: Completed 2nd - 12th grades Camp Dates: June 13 - 17, 2016 Auditions: Sunday, June 5, 2016 @ 2 pm - Any camper interested in a leading role should come prepared to sing 16 bars of a musical theatre song. Personal Finance 101 Workshop June 27-July 1 - Summit School
Personal Finance 101 - Camp/Workshop Leader: Gardner Barrier Dates: June 27 - July 1 Rising grades: 6 - 9 In this camp your child will work through fun and engaging conversations and games that will start their journey into financial literacy. We will play games that introduce financial topics, we will explore spreadsheet functionality as we design and evaluate plans, and we will learn some basic lessons about how money works. This "camp" will feel at times like a summer seminar, at times like game play, and at times like group analysis. We will be thinking hard, having meaningful conversations, and having a good time. Participants will finish up the week feeling like blinders have been taken off. They will see the world differently. And theyll have fun, too! All students need to bring is a curiosity about how money works, a willingness to think about things differently, and a desire to learn as much as possible. We will not be leaving campus. This first-class soccer camp focuses on enhancing individual skills, building team tactics and teaching intricacies of the game. In addition to soccer skills, campers will spend time in our state-of-the-art 16,000-square-foot fitness center while working with Laurels certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist to learn about lifting techniques, agility, speed, ACL injury prevention and nutrition. Participants will be split into groups based on age and experience. Coach Dennis Weyn - Director of Coaching for Ohio Premier Soccer Club and Eastside Kickers, Dennis is a former member of the U16 and U18 Dutch National Teams and played professional soccer in the Netherlands and the US. As we stomp around the beautiful parkland surrounding Old Trail, campers will learn how to use a few standard photographic techniques to improve their photo taking. Then, in class, we will learn how to download and improve our images and make them rock. Well be inside, well be outside, wherever photos lurk, we will be searching for them. In the process, we will learn how to see in a new light. Campers should bring a cell phone camera, a USB cord to download photos to a computer and a CD or jump drive to store finished photos.
