This 3-day class will focus on the design process using AutoCAD Inventor 2016 to take a conceptual idea to the prototyping stage. The emphasis will be on the effective design of a competitive robot for the VEX 2016-2017 competition season. Students will learn how to model subsystems in 3-D and then verify parts of their design by constructing the design using the VEX EDR systems. Parents should give youth some space before they try and debrief with their children. A camper may need some time to transition back to home life and a different schedule. Going from an active schedule to home life can be jarring and emotional. It is wise to take a child out to eat the first night they are back and try something active like heading out for mini-golf or to a movie. Quality time helps parents reconnect with their children.

LBBC Youth Rally - Christianity In Song - Independence, MO
This is our 3rd ANNUAL YOUTH RALLY HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED. The Youth Rally is open to all ages. It is once again an overnight event. We need adult volunteers to cook and supervise the cabins. Campers 8 and under are welcome with a parent on site. Lessons begin at 7 pm Friday night. We will be looking at Christianity through the lenses of our favorite campfire songs. Come prepared to do some serious singing. Dinner WILL NOT be served. EAT BEFORE YOU COME ON FRIDAY NIGHT. Snacks will be provided after campfire. Breakfast will be at 8 AM with the first lesson beginning at 9 AM. Lunch will be served at noon. The last activity will be done at 2 PM. Everyone needs to leave by 3 PM.

Our younger campers will start their day at Cipriani School with camp activities and a healthy snack, followed by a trip to the Belmont Library playground in our Footsteps vans and school buses for outdoor activities and lunch. The afternoon includes a 1/2 hour swim lesson and 1 - 2 hour recreational swim. After swimming, campers head back to Cipriani for snack and afternoon activities.
