Dance, tumble & cheer your way into the school year! This is an introduction to basics class developed to strengthen skills for aspiring cheerleaders, dancers, and gymnasts. Each class will cover tumbling skills, build proper jump shapes, and strengthen core & leg muscles. Students will be introduced to turning and leaping, and mini trampoline fundamentals. Cartwheels, round-offs, walkovers, and handsprings are all basics to which dancers, cheerleaders, and gymnasts aspire. Dance basics will be introduced as girls learn to turn and leap with proper technique. Participation awards will be given to everyone on our show off day May 18th, the last 30 minutes of class. Advanced Skills & Development - (6-8y) - Overland Park
This is a recreational & competitive level camp open to boys and girls 6-14 years-old. Players will improve their technical abilities and footwork with the soccer ball through practicing proper mechanics of dribbling, receiving, turning and control. Having technically sound foot skills give players a competitive edge in progressing to tactical application in game-like scenarios. After completion of the Advanced Skills & Development camp, we recommend progressing to the Dribbling & Passing camp. All curriculum is adapted to create age-appropriate sessions that will be fun, challenging and engaging. 913-387-3883
Building a Light-Controlled Synthesizer - MacRostie Art Center
Work with composer, instrument builder, and educator, Troy Rogers to create a light-controlled synthesizer. Can be taken individually, or in conjunction with the Musical Robots workshop. All materials provided by instructor: each student leaves with a functioning light-controlled synthesizer they built during the workshop. Students will also have the opportunity to particcipate in a performance that evening at 7 pm, open to the public, at MacRostie Art Center! Ages 13 – 17. 218-326-2697

Join in the fun! Our younger campers enjoy busy days filled with games, science activities, Spanish classes, arts and crafts, organized sports, drama, story time, and field trips—all arranged around a weekly theme. Theres also daily swim instruction for our five- to seven-year-old campers given by Red Cross certified lifeguards.
