Coaches from the Mens Soccer program at Ashland University, lead by Head Coach Oliver Slawson, will focus on skill development for young soccer players. Campers will learn soccer skills and techniques through exercises and games specifically designed for young players. Campers are encouraged to learn and develop at their own pace, under the careful guidance of Ashland Mens Soccer Coaching staff and players. Coach Slawson was a 10-year Assistant Coach at The University of Akron and Director of the Akron Soccer Camps, prior to becoming the Head Coach at Ashland University in January 2016. Having developed thousands of campers and youth players in Northeast Ohio, Coach Slawsons Ashland Camp will be a fun and interactive week of soccer, where campers will experience technical development with the emphasis always on fun and learning through individual and small group training activities & games! Drop-In Day 7/20/16 - Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge
Cedar Run also provides a weekly drop-in day camp for the commitment-challenged campers. This classic day camp is chock full of camp activities including nature education, animal encounters, art, games and enjoying the outdoors. This camp is available on Wednesdays from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM to children ages 6-10. If your child (or you) are hesitant about the idea of summer camp or just have one day to spend with us this summer, this is a perfect way to get a taste! Pricing is $50/per child, per day. Students will build a Sumobot robot using VEX IQ platform and learn to program using sensors to build the strongest robot. Autonomous Sumobots try to locate and knock their opponent out of the ring while detecting the outside circle. Please join us for the Wagner College Mens Lacrosse January Prospect Clinic! The clinic is a great opportunity for prospective student-athletes to improve as players and to learn what its like to be a college athlete. Youll also get the chance to meet head coach Matt Poskay, his assistants, and the Seahawk Lacrosse players who will also be working with you during the event. During the morning session, participants will work closely with Wagner coaches and players in order to further develop skills that will help them with both their high school and club lacrosse programs. During lunch, there will be an information session where participants will learn what its like to balance academics and athletics at the Division I level. Finally, during the afternoon field session, participants will have the opportunity to play and compete against other future college lacrosse players. Participants must bring all necessary equipment, including a mouth guard. Please bring a bag lunch as well. Water will be provided.
