Summer 2016 Youth Leadership Camp - Jackson, MS
I have been invited to be the Lead Speaker at this Year’s Youth Leadership Camp being held by The Christ United Methodist Church and Mississippi Families for Kids on the June 27, 2016 starting at 9:30 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. I am so honored that I have have been asked and I look forward to Empowering our Leaders of Tomorrow with the Encouraging of Words of God. In addition, to utilizing my life experiences, professional knowledge and expertise to inform participants of what is necessary to achieve their goals and how to become successful adults. It is my desire that youth will be able to reach inside of themselves to identify those strengths that will be the driving forces for their futures. So, on June 27, 2016 come out and help us..... Empower our Youth.... I do hope to see you there.
Toddler Boot Camp: 'I'm a Big Kid Now' - Battle Creek, MI
Youngsters and their families will enjoy stories, crafts, songs, and surprises at Toddler Boot Camp. This themed four-week story time is geared to children 1-5 years old to encourage them to transition from the baby stages to a big kid. Stories and songs such as "Bye Bye Binky," " No More Diapers," and "No More Monsters," will be shared to make transitioning for parent and child a fun experience.

Michigan Cru's Fall Getaway 2016 - Angola, IN
As we experience true love–a love that is there in the hard times as well as the good, a love that is there when we’re doing well or when we are failing, a love that will walk with us through healing as well as celebrate our victories–that is when we find true freedom. This kind of love is only found in a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. This will be a weekend of finding this kind of love as our speaker, Kevin Butcher, guides us through this topic. Join us for a weekend of fun community and spiritual growth as we head to Angola, Indiana for this year's Fall Getaway! Check is from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 14th. We'll have times of Biblical teaching and heartful worship, as well as plenty of time to just hang out and have fun together. And if you need to study, there is time for that too. We'll head back to campus after lunch on Sunday, October 16th. The cost is $60 for Freshmen and $80 for everyone else! February 19-20 (Times to be announced) In addition to having an awesome time getting to hang out with the youth group, we will be getting to hang out with youth ministry families as well. We will have food, games, and times of Bible study. Our Bible study will be centered on the roles of students, parents, and youth pastor in the development of students as disciples of Jesus. If you are a non-camper, you are still welcome to come hang out and fellowship. Day visiters will be subject to regular park admission fees: $3 per vehicle for 1-2 people and $5 per vehicle for 3-8 people. Further details coming...

(NEW) Wood Turning 1: Make a Baseball Bat (855 W16) - Former Adrian Training School
Learn to turn your own baseball bat. Students will learn the basics of wood spindle turning. Learn safe shop practices and procedures that will make woodturning safe and fun. Students will take home a baseball bat. Students will walk away with a basic understanding of how to operate and maintain a wood lathe and wood turning tools. Students will be allowed open studio time on Sundays during the week of class. On this day, students are welcome to come to the shop and use the tools to catch up and refine the classroom project. Legend has it, gnomes are stout little people with pointed hats who live outside, often in gardens and usually underground. Some believe they have magical powers, others believe they simply bring good luck.
